Not sure Labour can win another election on 'better option than the other guys' they've pissed off just as many people on the left as on the right. The Labour stance on Gaza, trans rights and disability benefit cuts especially.

I'd say things like their stance on Gaza and trans rights is really only vote swayers for those of a Corbyn hue and it's such a small percentage of the electorate rather than holding the middle ground, which they should do. Reform, whilst possibly showing a move away from two party politics is still more of an issue for the Conservatives who are sort of performing a Reformlite routine which speaks to no one.

You'd be surprised on that also despite your views on Corbyn his support makes up a decent chunk of the Labour vote certainly enough if lost to enable Reform/Tories in.

There was lots of nose holding in voting for Labour last time can't see it happening again.

Yep in my humble opinion both sides of the extreme are nut sacks

i remember lots of folk bigging up Tommy Robinson as a voice of reason but when push came to shove, no one voted for him

reform have done nothing to earn those ratings based on what's happened before or since the election other than make noise

if they have, show us

the piblic opinion will fade out or it will be the biggest fuck up since brexit

4 years till we find out, and not a moment sooner

Oh yes but much like @Casino and other more central ex Tories voting labour as they felt the Tories had gone too far right there's plenty of labour to the left of centre not necessarily full on commies who aren't happy with labour as it stands.

It's a tricky balance for labour to maintain keeping the ex Tories on board but not losing too much of their traditional support.

I suspect it will be the biggest fuck up since Brexit. Enjoy the next 4 years of relative normality and gradual improvement, because there is a very good chance it will all get burned to the ground in an instant in 2029.

I think this will be a decent government of actually trying to do stuff in difficult circumstances.

They will then get wiped out by bullshit and culture wars again and we end up with Farage Ltd becoming the defacto Tory party.

The Frog faced cunt will fuck it up as he isn't as bright as some believe and is completely against working class support, a leopard doesn't change his spots.

Either that or Trump completely fucks the US so bad in the next few years that we do a Canada and think 'fuck that'.

You’re right, it’ll be 4 years before we have an election and rightly so. Do you not wonder why Starmer is taking so much of his time to try and discredit a party that, according to the polls, is way ahead of Labour?

Are the polls not influencing the decisions the government take?

It's probably because no one is actually taking any notice of what reform have to offer, or what labour are doing yet the polls suggest it could be better under  reform

I see no reason to think reform could do anything to sort out the big issues because they have a track record of doing nothing more than tubthumping

It's just noise but He can't ignore it

He has a situation to deal with no doubt

I just hope he doesn't make a terrible mistake like Cameron did under similar circumstances when he called for a referendum to save his skin

I agree with the last paragraph. Cameron made that decision due to pressure from Farage’s UKIP. We are here again. Starmer is reacting to Farage’s Reform. As has been said though, we are 4 years from an election. If Starmer is confident in his government, ignore the noise.

I doubt he has that confidence and personally, I don’t have confidence in him. 🤷‍♂️

But you have confidence in Nigel Farage?

Someone asked me today about Starmer’s replies to the questions aimed at him by the media. Farage managed to capture them all.

Disclaimer. I don’t endorse either Farage or Reform. If you are of a nervous disposition, don’t watch the posted link. It has over a million views already so if you don’t want to add to the promotion of Reform, ignore it.👍

He does seem a little obsessed and worried.

Is it still a wasted vote? Asking for ... me

Well yes, if someone asks you a question about Nigel Farage, you're probably going to mention the name Nigel Farage. If multiple people ask you questions about Nigel Farage....

I notice you still haven't posted his answers.

Any thoughts on the Tories right now? They are still her majesty’s opposition

There is an argument that Starmer is focusing on Farage as even now people think Starmer would make a better PM than Farage. So if he makes it ‘me or him’  it will be to his advantage

Personally I think he needs to have a good track record by the time the election comes round and that will do more than getting into a head to head at this stage.

You don’t endorse reform.

You do nothing but take shots at Labour.

That leaves the Tories,  Lib Dem’s and the “lesser” parties as potential Boby vote winners.
