Some might argue it is a semantic difference but there is a rather large difference. You would think this would get a bit more attention especially from a Labour Govt but only the Greens and Libs are shouting about it. Gets dismissed by the Cons and Farage as politics of envy. I’m probably late to this, but interesting reports emerging about dodgy things Farage said when younger. Not outright denials from him, and he’s choosing his words carefully, so will be interesting to see if he can brush this off without damage to his polling figures.

Cue some folks calling this a “witch hunt”.

Do you think there is a cut off then before which racist (or other discriminatory/offensive language) doesn’t count? Where would you draw the line if 40 years is too far in the past. 20 years, 2 years, 2 weeks, 2 minutes? I presume there’s a threshold you’d be happy with. Ta.

A few points, the first going back to my original post. The country is in a shit state and these are the headlines…..really.

This is from school, I’m confident everyone on here would have said something in school, especially 50 years ago, that would be frowned upon now. 
 

Lastly, why have these former pupils all appeared at the same time with these claims. Ta.

I fully agree with you that the country is in a bad way, which is why to me the character of our next leader matters. If he did say these things, and let’s face it he’s not really denying but trying to brush them off, then imho he’s not fit to be PM and lead the recovery of a multicultural nation on the world stage. I’d feel the same about anyone.

This is not about some kid dropping in the odd inappropriate comment it is about a pattern of behaviour over a period of time. 

He has not denied any of that but has said the words not intentionally hurtful to any individuals. That’s ok then 🤥.

These are not new allegations but as the country’s next potential MP he is coming under more scrutiny.

Next they might start looking at why the owners of GBNews think it is worth paying him £1m a year. Maybe even some scrutiny over who they are. 
 

Is there anyone who can honestly say they think (no need for proof just honest opinion) that he knew nothing about what his mate was upto with the Russians and that his 17 appearances on Russian TV during that period were a coincidence?
