Wanderers 0-3 Brentford

Don't need to go on about the importance of this game, especially with 2 aways following

At £15 a ticket it would be nice to have a decent crowd and really get behind the lads

Can't score for shit but 2-1 whites

  • I think we should be focusing on scoring more than Brentford on Saturday as well as conceding less.   If we score more and concede less we will win.

We're trying to tackle the Championship with a League 1 squad. The loanees only of that level and perm signings cast offs from bottom end Champ clubs.   Nobody's fault, circumstances that prevailed,

We probably needed to come up for the extra funds so we could afford to get out of the embargo   Staying down last season wouldn't have done us any favours

Madine is destined for a big move January and deserves to

He tried his best but as our forwardmost player he wasn't much of a goal threat, post aside

fuckin light weight

not fit to lace satans boots...

It's not big or clever, although often required when your a Wanderer. ????

He's really stepped on for me, however his goal scoring at this level is always going to be limited, without that he's not going to get a move any higher than a mid tier championship side

right players around him he would do fine

Come on, Madine is crap. Sure he's one of our better players which tells its own story. Like saying Feeney was one of our better players a couple of years ago.

Madine is worse than crap!

I hope he gets a "big" move in January, as far away from us as possible!

Then we might start to try and play proper championship football instead of hoof it.

And please don't even think about inviting Spearing back ffs, nobody want him, says it all

Feeney was one of our better players - as in he didn't shit his fucking keks and showed for the ball - even if he was wsnk in the end product...to me it's rollback to the worst of Lennon and Dougie...can't see it any other way.

Madine is the only one to have stepped up for me.

I'm not (crack) piping up anymore :)

Madine had a thankless task imo, far from his greatest fan in the whole of his time but he can hold his head up today....

Madine wasn't good enough last time we were in the championship, he still isn't.

How can you not see that?

Have you seen where Feeney is playing now?

the problem is we have better forwards than madine but we dont have players who can get the ball to them

Gallows humour have got me through many a year living where I do. That and no matter what being proud to be a wanderer (adopted one at that)

Madine isn't getting fucking split by fucking Brentford ffs...fucking piss stain shit, and that's swearing.

Not having players as good as the opposition I can live with, especially given the off-field shite.

Not having fight and spirit is unforgivable and that's what I am seeing each week.

Not setting up a team to be difficult to beat and no shape or real visible game plan is down to the management team. Playing players out of position and not being able to motivate or inspire the players is another management failing.

I accepted it was going to be a tough season and 4th bottom is a success but never in my darkest nightmares did I think it would be this bad.

Absolutely spot on , and what really concerns me is that too many supporters are prepared to make too many allowances and excuses for Parkinson  because of what has gone on off the field.

If I felt he was getting the best out of the group of players he has to work with I would be 100% behind him and not leaving West Ham at half time because it was a non contest. I would not be listening to a post match chat today from John McGinley about the players lack of fight and spirit which was roundly applauded.

Just look at Parkinsons managerial record at this level - it speaks for itself.

He was the right Journeyman manager to get us out of League one - but to move the club onwards or even keep us in the championship - never.

He has managed 2 other clubs at this level and his record is shocking -  at Hull City in 2006/07 he won 4 games in 21 and was sacked with them 23rd in the League , two years later in 2008/09 he moves up from assistant manager at Charlton to manager and in 28 games in charge they also won 4 games and were relegated

So if you add in the 9 games he has been our manager this season  , his record at this level tonight stands at 8 wins in 58 games.

He is completely out of his depth

Nobody's fault, circumstances that prevailed, we went up before we were ready and able to give it a fair crack

That's where I'm at. Boing boing Trotters from the championship to league 1 unless we get some serious investment.

Aye. I hoped we might be able to wing it & hang on to 4th from bottom but it does look as though we came back up a year too soon.

If we'd had a couple of windows out of embargo to try & strengthen, we might have had more of a chance.

We probably needed to come up for the extra funds so we could afford to get out of the embargo

If this was a season in the prem, we would be saying let's take the money rebuild after relegation and come back stronger.

Is the financial gap between championship and Div one not enough to say the same?

Totally agree,it's how the team's been set up,why he played 3 centre

backs against a small attack plus a midfield that can't tackle a dogs dinner,3 shots at goal speaks volumes

Sick of seeing us humping the ball at Madine, though that's not his fault,in fact he had to manufacture his own efforts at goal

Absolute bollocks that, if you're a good manager in League 1 then there should be no difference in this league.

We simply don't have the players to compete at this level

  • Author

course we have the players to compete

Millwalls don't seem to have a problem so far

You could say "if your a good enough player to get promoted from league 1 then"....

I think we are all aware that the lack of quality is a collective thing from top to bottom, you can't stick it on any individual

However football being football PP is the only one that can be replaced before January 1st
