Wanderers 0-3 Brentford

Don't need to go on about the importance of this game, especially with 2 aways following

At £15 a ticket it would be nice to have a decent crowd and really get behind the lads

Can't score for shit but 2-1 whites

  • I think we should be focusing on scoring more than Brentford on Saturday as well as conceding less.   If we score more and concede less we will win.

We're trying to tackle the Championship with a League 1 squad. The loanees only of that level and perm signings cast offs from bottom end Champ clubs.   Nobody's fault, circumstances that prevailed,

We probably needed to come up for the extra funds so we could afford to get out of the embargo   Staying down last season wouldn't have done us any favours

Shef united and millwall are doing ok. Burton have not paid a fee for the last 2 years for a player to my knowledge.

point taken, but I'm thinking back to last season and this guy got us over achieving, just as Millwall are now.

we're a bottom 3 side

Barnsley only spent 1m in 2 seasons

just had a look millwall signed a couple of lads from wolves the rest was from AFC Wimbledon, fleetwood, Bradford Swindon mainly on season loans

This is the team we did the double over and finished 8 points clear

most reliable source i can find has it at 5 million in the last transfer window

Ok  let's not panic Kevin Nolan will save us

Just noticed the site I was looking at counted undisclosed as nothing, my bad.

Sheff Utd spent over £2m in the summer, 2 of Millwall's signings were players that PP wanted but we couldn't pay their wages, Burton have paid fees for players in the last 2 years & none of them has had a transfer embargo or a wages cap.

Vulnerable down the sides when we play wing backs.

Toothless with one up front.

Too easy to play through our midfield with either.

Straight 442 would probably make us worse.

Go back to the basics of last season with 4231 and hope for set pieces and luck is looking like the best of a bad bunch?

Blaming an abysmal run of form on lack of investment is an easy thing to do.

The managers tactics are to blame.

Does it really cost that much money or time, to just say to our defence and midfield to not hoof it up to Madine.

And to leave at least just 1, I mean 1 player up, when we are conceding a corner, especially at home and 3-0 down.

It's little tactics that this.

Another one, high pressure, why do we not bother, I'm not a manger, but why in gods name do we not make it hard, and press.

Instead we just go, nope, sit back and go easy on them. Literally the opposition teams have it so easy against us.

There's so many flaws in Parky's tactics, I could go all night.

We are absolute utter shite at the moment.

I'd just get any manager in, that is willing to have the balls, and say to the team, especially at home games, press the opposition and make it hard.

Also, full backs go wide from goal kicks, and start the build up play from the back and not go the easy way with long ball.

Literally every single team does this except us.

We will probably still get beat, but I don't doubt at all the matches would not only be more of a contest, but more enjoying.

I keep having flash backs to the season before last thinking to myself it can't be worse than that, can it?

We have to have a better chance of contending this season looking at the squad

Granted the standard in the division seems to have really stepped on but still, we can't end up dead and buried in Autumn

It'll be as bad if not worse. Be surprised if we get over 30pts

Rotherham got 23 last season, be close

I keep having flash backs to the season before last thinking to myself it can't be worse than that, can it?

Same, because that year really made me consider knocking it all on the head. Didn't even consider doing an away between Rotherham and that Fulham pile on on the last day and even began staying in Scott's rather than going into home games.

That came a few years after thinking we could never be as bad as the Coyle relegation team which seem to mirror a few aspects of the current lot - a soft touch and shipping goals for fun at home.

Early days now of course and there's time for things to be done to turn it round but if it goes as bad or worse than the season before last the damage done to that fragile recovery of belief and passion and pride people began to regain for the club in the last year or so is going to be smashed.

Currently on track for 10

Just reading that today should be the end of the world according to some religious sects & conspiracy nuts so let's hope we are not ending with an ignominious home defeat , to paraphrase some guy from the Midlands this White is

abroad & drinking heavily

Did it happen?

Seems alright still in Portugal?

But believe you me that league table still looks horrible, even from this distance

cos im obviously missing something

somebody tell me who the fcuk we can play as a two

The problem is no matter what formation we play at the moment we dont have ONE player who can tackle in midfield. Karacan only played a few games for us before this season and was OK going forward but not a central ball winning midfielder, The West Ham fans at work think Cullen is wank and again not someone who can put a challenge in.

PP has brought the wrong players into the squad and with losing Vela and Spearing its a big loss. Also Pratley rose his game when he came back from injury last season at Fleetwood and had a few very good games; this season we see the Pratley who is wondering round just for the money.

So Cas you are right there is nobody we can play in a central midflied at the moment.

Millwall were miles behind us last season and brought in league 1 players but they set up better and have fight; PP is not the right man but I have no idea what we can do due to the money problems and no cheap managers available.

Coming out of the ground, the atmosphere was flat, no arguing, anger and obviously enjoyment. Like a realisation that this season is going to be more of the same.

Our squad of players good enough to get promoted needed strengthening with better players than we had, that didn’t happen because of more board room shite. However the manager can’t possibly be getting the best out of the group he has available, the results and performances aren’t even close. We are getting hammered each game and the score lines could be much wider.

If it carries on like this the January transfer window will be pointless.

he made school boy errors with selections admitting wheater and Buckley weren't fit for certain games but played them

In summary, based on this thread:

* All our players are shite, lightweight lower league cloggers with less talent than a three legged mule, and similar fitness levels to a 40-a-day, 25stone diabetic.

* A different manager could turn them into world beaters.

* The club has no money

* The club has enough money to buy Cristiano Ronaldo really

We're not the same team, though.

Three of yesterday's back five, two of the midfield and one of the forwards are new players.

And yes, I am ignoring that Karacan started twice at the end of last season.

what I'm pointing out is they have signed a majority league 1 or below players yet Harris has them working

I know they don't get much protection but Beevers, Burke, and Wheater were all piss poor yesterday making schoolboy errors like getting on the wrong side of people and making some bad decisions you wouldn't expect of an apprentice.

Wheater must still be playing through an injury because he looks no where near being match fit, was watching him the other week and he took an age to get back and he just didn't look like he was at the races at all yesterday.
