Or win some council seats ?

 

Last one maybe. Second unlikely and first one never in a month of Sundays.

 

To win an election would need over 13m votes. UKIP got nearly 600k votes and no seat at last election. Even at their height UKIP could not find a seat for Farage.

 

BNP I think have won council seats.

 

Also the pool he gets his support from will end up infighting it was not that long ago the FLA were distancing from him. To be more credible he has distanced himself from the far right but that is where his support comes from.

Zoella by comparison has 12M subscribers and her videos have over 1M views. She gets around 6M views a month....

The whole of Europe is moving to the right due to immigration issues, look at Italy for instance, the new government was elected purely because it said it would no longer take immigrants. Sweedish Democrats will be the next government in Sweeden, Le Penn will get in in France next time. Let's no fool ourselves, Britian voted Brexit purely based on immigration.

I get the argument for engagement and inclusivity no matter how repugnant the views expressed are. However, history shows us that pandering to far right extremists and allowing them platforms generally results in disaster.

 

We're in exceptionally dark times across Europe, but thankfully in modern history we've always managed to pull through. Hopefully without bloodshed this time.

You're right. A properly mounted campaign could seriously impact the norms.

Nobody is suggesting that.

 

But if a credible party either appeared or changed policy to go hardline on immigration and break apart Muslim strongholds, with the backing of TR and his followers, they’d make serious headway in the political system.

 

Like said above, the brexit vote for the majority was based on immigration. Whether you agree or not, it was.

 

My father in law for instance is the most meekest and mild mannered bloke you’d ever meet, he’s never even heard of tommy robinson and he’s the last person you’d see marching in London singing England songs. He voted out because of the large numbers of polish in his area. (Based in ill informed information obviously) . Millions of voters had this same policy.

 

The man on the street has no idea about trade deals and sovereignty or laws. It was about immigration and migrant strongholds across the country.

 

You’re normal every people feel strongly about this kind of stuff and like has been said above, once it isn’t a taboo to admit or talk about the issue then just watch it fly.

 

 

Folk might not march in the street or watch YouTube videos, but they will tick a box in a voting booth.
