birch-chorley Posted June 22, 2018 Share Posted June 22, 2018 (edited) That group is a bit like England’s group, it might be preferable to finish second and play Mexico rather than come first and get Germany (based on current estimate) If Brazil top the group and play Germany (assuming they come 2nd) then the winner of that plays the winner of our group v runner up from H (likely Senegal or Japan) Whoever comes second in our group will likely play the winners of Mexico v (2nd out of Switzerland, Serbia or Brazil) - if they beat Japan or Senegal of course That route looks much more favourable than finishing top as things stand Just had a look at England V Belgium on Thursday in Kaliningrad, wish I had sooner! Fly into Gadansk on the cheap and it’s a stones throw away. I bet tickets would have been relatively easy to come by as well.
