Dr Faustus
there are too many large fires in the north west recently for it to be coincidental
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 3, 2018 Site Supporter Share Posted September 3, 2018 Northern powerhouse. Set fire to everything and hey presto plenty of heat. Learn to harvest it better and we're sorted.

Site Supporter MickyD Posted September 3, 2018 Site Supporter Share Posted September 3, 2018 Main cause of fire...arson. MickyD care to verify? Yes, bullshit it's arson. Well, not by kids at least. The building companies say they'll redevelop iconic buildings knowing they will get planning permission and then do something like this so they don't need to go to the expense of keeping the frontage. It happened in Bolton too many times for it to be a coincidence. Bradshaw Hall developers "accidentally" let a mill chimney fall on the grade II listed porch of the former hall. Co-op bank frontage "accidentally" fell down when being developed (Now Argos), Bolton Fire Station on Marsden Road was supposed to keep the frontage but they "accidentally" let it fall over. This latest iconic building fire at Littlewoods would have cost a fortune to keep the frontage in-tact. Remedy; burn the fucker down. A recycling business running out of space to store people's shit? Easy, burn the lot and create more space for the side of the business that makes most money, the skip hire. Storing the stuff costs nothing but soon gets full. Sorting the material costs money to the recycle company so that's not the route to go down either.
