  • For the record, I've never had any business dealings with captainmed. I hardly know the bloke and he certainly doesn't know me or my business. It's not the best review I've had, but you can't win

Sorry humour,  It's one of two best paragliding sites in Europe.  My youngest did this at 11 years old.

Its turkey

HTH

im more likely to go to 'benners'

Been to turkey twice

Once because I didn’t know

Second time because I assumed the first time was just a bad experience.

Both times I found it shite, often sinister and the local blokes a shower of pig ignorant perverts who belong in caves.

Wont be back.

One of those trogs once asked my uncle if he could take my cousin out. My uncle told him she was just 14.

The trog replied that that was absolutely fine.

He got told to fuck off.

But you're right.

Kalkan sounds the best choice if you want to avoid chavs and don't mind paying a few quid when you go out, but still never been to to Turkey, seems a bit like Marmite to me.

on the beach and love holidays had to resign from ABTA because they refused to refund customers

Didn’t think I’d like it, absolutely loved it. Shit loads to do for all ages. Maybe going back out in Oct to buy a place out there.

Sounds interesting, looking to buy an apartment abroad, Turkey is cheap, also been looking at Tuscany, Sicily & Calabria in Italy, the concern is flights and travel time from the airport.

The flights are my only concern at the moment. They’re not the cheapest. Transfers from the airport took just over an hour

They have heating systems 😂

The main time we will be using is may, Aug and Oct so it suits us. Pretty much guaranteed all year round rent for when we are not there.

Don’t Turkish beach resorts pretty much shut down from 31st Oct till the 1st May every year?

Went Marmaris 20 years ago, mithered to fuck off the locals, and Turkish blokes sniffing round young girls like dogs, vowed to stay away from the country. Got talked into going again 5 years ago and caved in, went to Sarigerme and it was like chalk and cheese compared to my past experience.

Whilst I'd never ever advocate anyone booking with either of OTB and/or LH, they've actually got a valid point/gripe with ABTA.

Client uses OTB / LH because they're cheap.
They're cheap because they use budget airlines.
FCO decide travelling to Costa xyz is now not advised
Client advises OTB/LH that they want to cancel for a full refund, which ABTA says they can have within 14 days.
Easyjet/Ryanair still run the flights to that destination and tell OTB/LH to get fucked.
So, to abide by ABTA rules, they have to refund the client despite not getting the money back from the airline.

How can that be fair?
