My brother swears by Koutoulafari. I’m more Kato Gouves. We always hire a car and visit a few other small villages and resorts. Last time we took a trip to the South coast but wife got a bit windy as we drove through the mountains. I must admit, when you look down and see where you’d been 10 or so hairpin bends ago, you know you’ve driven a long way up and there are no fences to stop you taking a quick route back to the start. 
 

edit - found this. It possibly isn’t the road we were on but they really are much of a muchness. We were there in mid-June and there was snow on top of adjacent mountains.

My mrs used to work in the cruises industry

Most of her mates still in industry have lost their jobs

Some African blokes just got kicked off theirs by the SBS after they complained that the all inclusive vodka wasn’t Stolichnaya.

Best avoided.

Surely it'll be a while before they're letting folk back on the floating caravans, especially as the average age is usually well into the 80's and they're very vulnerable.

 

On the plus side, due to them not operating, most of them have managed to get rid of the stench of piss that persistenly riddles them, although it'll be back once the usual clients are allowed back on board

These here covid tests you need 72 hours before flying - wheres the best place to get them if you don't have any symptoms?

you can't just get a test ,you need to pass the criteria first

then you have to call 119 where you are screened, and vetted, surprising how many have it after a few questions , and if you haven't self isolated for 5 days you can't have one until then

My favourite holiday destination, Kato Gouves, on the Northern coast of Crete has been hit, along with other coastal towns and villages close by, by floods caused by torrential rain in the nearby mountains. There have always been dry riverbeds in various parts which, I assumed, would become rivers out of season taking the water from the mountains and into the sea.
