Accrington too and I might finally get to see us at Plymouth and Lincoln.

A team of home grown youngsters taking the division by storm with David Lee at the helm.

Not with PP in charge.

If he's still here in league one, with yet more cuts, I'd fear us going heading south again.

At the minute I have a grass roots team, my lad playing for Burnley, other children's' commitment, and BWFC eating into my weekends; I've been told to get back into a team sport if possible.

This same minute, one of those is proving to be as equally costly and time consuming as the others, whilst only offering a fraction of the entertainment and feel good factor. Another year of 4-5-1 long punts is enough to put anyone off

 

I'm not the only one. Things need to change, or numbers will continue fall next season. As a side note, maybe its just the way the game in general is going- are we likely to see regional leagues in the future? Is the divide between rich and poor see league clubs eventually become semi pro (albeit very handsomely paid ones)

Nowt to look forward to and not prepared to keep chucking money at something that is no longer enjoyable.

I have already prepared my lad for next season we are looking forward to the League one tour, we will win more games, play better style of football and some good away days so I will probably do many more away days than recent seasons. I hope by then KA and PP are history and we have new owners who want to take the club forward trying to play football and bringing a few young uns through.

one is (hopefully) a given, not so sure about the second though- saying its a tour suggests its only going to short lived thing is a positive way... hopefully doesn't come to it, but I admire your positivity

I'm not the only one. Things need to change, or numbers will continue fall next season. A couple of mates think league 1 downwards should be regionalised. I can see some merits of it (and it happens in the likes of Germany) but ive always argued that here we have a lot more emotion and history invested into our pyramid system than other places (and we're physically a much smaller country). But the money issue does change things a bit, becoming more lopsided and difficult for clubs to function than ever.

 

As for next season. A relatively quick double dip into league 1 might not be too enthusiastically received, we'll still take some big numbers here and there but under this manager playing this football? I'll not be tipping money into doing about 6 aways in just over 2 months like last time that's for sure.

You will if we're at the top! It's great going to away games when you expect to win, like the other year. I'm amazed sometimes at the numbers that go away with the certainty of a negative result. I think most (including me) go just for the day out as there's little chance of a win.

The fifth tier isn't regionalised, so third and fourth unlike to do so without the fifth.

Of course the third tier was regionalised from 1921 to 1958. In 1920-21 there was a third tier which was essentially southern plus Grimsby. It included Crystal Palace, Southampton, Watford and Brighton plus half a dozen current Championship teams.

Aye. It'd be hard to renew but I'd be fairly confident we'd win most of our home games under PP even if it was dull and pedestrian. Most can stomach crap football when we're winning.

It's PP's level, his style works at that level.

The reason Hall won't be getting a game anytime soon is nothing to do with not being ready its because he's not a big lump. A bit like le fondre he couldn't fit him into his shitty style of play. I wouldn't be giving him any cash for a new striker if I was Ken he'd only be sat on the bench for a couple of months.

Did anybody on here see him at Accie? TBH if he’s any good he would surely have got more starts there. If he’s not ready for Accie then he’s not ready for our division, even if we don’t have many other options.
