We have un paid bills going back some time and no money to cover costs moving forward

Are you suggesting without any of the abuse we'd find ourselves in a different situation, one where all debts are paid and KA be hunting high and low for someone with money?

I think where we're at was inevitable either way

No not at all what I am saying is the abuse etc only sped up the process of him getting rid. In some people’s eyes that’s a good thing as like you say bills are being unpaid today.

However, the risk of us being no better off because he just wanted to cut his losses regardless of where that left is, has increased the chances of us still being in the shit in the long term

So Basran is basically out Kenning Ken?

Most don’t end up here twice and so get some leeway from HMRC.

But honestly most who get to that point aren’t primed for takeover and just end up going under.

Could we go under howard?😨

Not really, their agenda’s aren’t linked now. Ken trying to secure best exit for himself, Basran trying to deals with creditors to avoid liquidation; owing to either lack of funds or using liquidation as a threat to get a better deal. The closer you get to a winding up hearing the lower amount a creditor will accept, especially unsecured. The big problem is that the publicity around the HMRC winding up order means that multiple other creditors may arrive at the court seeking full repayment under the ‘substitution precedeht’.

In a typical circumstance you would acquire the business prior to the first winding up order and immediately seek a CVA to protect against liquidation, unfortunately in a football club this process comes at a much higher cost (both financially and points deduction/transfer ban).

I think it’s also been clear that the business has been trading under a validation order, this is where you get permission to carry out specific aspects of your ‘trade’ and can make specific payments - wages’  providing it doesn’t affect the creditors in terms of their repayments I.e you can’t pay any of the creditors anything as doing so would be preferential given you are in technical insolvency.

Got a fcuking headache after reading all that, people who buy football clubs must be fcuking mental, I’d be flicking the V’s at Ken after the first day of discussions.

Could, but won’t, vultures will be circling next week, that’s what Ken wants

If Ken has struck a deal already, why then would the vultures be hovering?

NIXON: strange one, Basran has been talking to Owen coyle about a potential return to Bolton if he takes over. Fancies him as a sporting director. Wants to get the fans on side early

No deal struck, vultures hovering because distressed debt is appetising

Yes but unlikely to lavish it on a football club.

Put it this way, if they can acquire the club for £10-12M lien/charge free then its instant profit as the assets are worth more than that.

Problem now is PBP won’t deal with another party so key is how much Ken/Moonshift agree on to settle.
