Can't say I share those sentiments.

I know the discussions of financial matters are probably of a minority interest but it is ultimately about the existence and being of the club itself.

The thread is clearly marked, Howards input on it as been going on for a fortnight now and I imagine anyone clicking on the debate should by now be full aware of what to expect from it.

Maybe if the thread was to be entitled 'Acquisitions and Mergers / Insolvency' or something 'dull' like that, then those that are interested in this stuff can discuss such matters away from those who have little or no interest in it and everybody could then be happy perhaps?

With the exception of a couple of whoppers, most people are just hoping for decent news.

People popping along asking for well reasoned information makes a bit of a difference from facebook/twitter which is full of people whose lives are so joyless that the only erections they seem able to muster come from telling strangers on social media that they know what's going to happen, when they clearly don't. 

It's a modern disease and downright weird. But we must take mental health seriously. If it makes them happy, it's all good I suppose.

Fair comments.

My favourites are the "I'm cleverer / successful / knowledgeable / experienced than you". On a forum of (mostly) anonymous posters of (largely) unknown intelligence / success / knowledge / experience, it pretty much proves the opposite.

I only joined to ask questions of interest after reading your posts that were recommended by someone else.  Bet there’s a good few more too. 

Not sure why there’s such an exclusive/hostile attitude among the longstanding forum members. Accept that some of it will just be banter but... The most insightful person on this whole thread has only been here for a few weeks.

Everyone who’s joining is joining to hear what Howard is saying and engage with him. So after April 3, you’ll have your wish and all the new people will fuck off or you’ll have some new wanderers fans to talk to.

There’s pretty much nothing to see here folks, as Howard says, until April 2. So just ignore this thread if you don’t want to deal with the new members. Check back in a week or stick to the other threads for a more original membership.

Id never even heard of the site until someone mentioned it on social media and now I feel much more relaxed as a Bolton fan since reading the thread. It’s a good thing that many others have done the same.

hope to stick around after this thread dies because it’s more a coherent debate than other social media. So if any of the OG members have a problem with that then we will have to have a straightener.
