Yes, i know exactly what you mean. Everyone has just about had enough now!

I’ve not.

It’ll take as long as it takes.

I would prefer it to all be sorted just like everyone else.

I've never bought a hotel and football club before, but if I was going to, and one that was in proper shit to start with, I’d expect it to take a while.

If it was YOUR £25million, I think you’d proceed with caution as well.

im still working on the assumption FV are buying us, and would rather keep quiet until they have something solid to report.

If I’m wrong, then so be it.

Still, it's better than him saying we're fucked.

Still maintain I will be watching shit Parkinson football at Wycombe next week

With spider on this

Fuck me......i was only trying to raise hopes of completion 😂😂😂😂.

And he courts no attention for it either. Same with ED. Some of the stick he gets for throwing his fortunes at us is silly. He continued to bail us out after he sold too.

I must have visited this thread ten times a day since Feb, it's been fucking frustrating at times but the finishing line is finally visible.

Cheers. I thought the same way as Leyther Matt , that in liquidation the players would retain football creditor status with the same standing as secured creditor, such as they do in admin. With that not being the case I can see why they might feel exposed and unlikely to accede to any deferral and just want out.

why when Normies that work there were not getting paid, did they not do one ?

When Donaldson were begging for boots on twitter, did anyone offer to buy them for him ? It wouldve been awkward if some secretary or summat at bolton had offered to buy them for him.

Is there any rule that stops a footballer from getting another job? Could , for example, they not get a job doing something like Data Entry or delivering parcels or some other freelance auto-wage-slave job ?

Are footballers able to buy various insurances policies against things like not being able to pay the mortgage [ i think thats what all this PPI bullshit is/was for]

if some , i dunno, building firm- is owed money by bolton , am i supposed to feel sympathetic to them when i know firms go bump all the time owing money to allsorts of people ?

its been about 10 weeks, i'm not sure what to think about it all just yet, but i'm not gonna be that arsed if some impatient moaning bastard footballer on the internet needs a pair of Yeezys or whatever.

The whole thing is not exactly unchartered territory.

The EFL can fuck off with all the ultimatums , too. Leicester City were in Administation for about 24 months.

What they mean is, “you have to provide us with proof of funding to satisfy debts to football creditors in full, and also run the club in the interim, or else we'll transfer the golden share and you won't be permitted to play in the EFL's competitions”

and also

you have to meet the requirements of the Safety Advisory Group in order to obtain a stadium safety certificate, and if you don't hold a safety certificate, we will exercise our power to suspend any fixtures as a result (with inevitable consequences)”

What they don't mean is, “we will place things on hold whilst you provide us with proof of funds and obtain a stadium safety certificate - or in our case, complete a takeover - and then you can get up and running in October”.

That's not the suggestion.

It might be what you think it is what they mean but it certainly isn't what they've said -

If this information is not provided the Board will then determine whether to implement the notice to transfer its share or further extend the deadline.

So even if Bury DON'T provided the required information by the deadline they have been set, the EFL are saying they will consider giving them even more time to be able to do so - and certainly not the final ultimatum that you seem to be under the impression that they have been given.

If they do mean it to be a final ultimatum then why even suggest the deadline could be extended??

I certainly agree with you there is no suggestion in the statement from the EFL to Bury that it would consider giving Bolton time to complete the hotel purchase by suspending our first couple or so fixtures (why would there be?), I merely have pointed out that it would appear from the wording of their Regulation 28.2, that they COULD make use of that power to do so if they so wished.

If it meant the difference of chucking a club out of the league (let alone one of its founder members) then they may wish to think around the problem particularly if all that is required to resolve everything can be achieved just a week or two from the start of the season.

I'm certainly not saying they will suspend a few games of ours - just that is an option open for their consideration if they so required one.

Hopefully everything would have been sorted long before then.

And I wasn't suggesting the statement made any reference to us. The reason I mention us is because the conversation you were having was about what we could infer from the statement in relation to how the EFL might deal with our predicament.

Make your mind up, in your previous post you said this -

So you must now be agreeing with me that the EFL statement DOES include the option to say "we will place things on hold whilst you [Bury] provide us with proof of funds...".

Likewise I note you've also seem to now accept my observation that the EFL Regulation 28.2 COULD give themselves powers to reschedule our opening matches if they believed it was beneficial in everyone's interests to do so.

I'm not sure why you seemed to take exception to my original observation and which led to these several exchanges of posts throughout the day, my original post seems completely innocuous even now when I look back at it -

The EFL statement to Bury talks about possibly SUSPENDING club fixtures.

It may seem that one outcome of the process that hasn't been known to us before is that the EFL may be amenable to suspend one or two of our games until the outcome of ownership of the hotel is resolved.

I'm sure everyone would prefer things to be sorted before the start of the season though.

I can only assume you were just having a bad day, in which case I wish you a much better one today.

We have a thread called Bury, can we discuss their issue there?

Yes - I have a good feeling about today -

am starting to think we will have either

More "Positive steps " or

Possibly "Positive signs "

Stretching it a bit I know but maybe even a " Major breakthrough " is a possibility

or if we get really lucky  there may be a   " Significant Development " on the cards

So right Benny, it’s a mark of how desperate we have become for any crumb of positive news.

The extension of the deadline for compliance with the regulations regarding the insolvency event doesn't require the suspension of any fixtures/start of the season.

My day was fine. I was just disagreeing with you.

Just the four weeks since the administrators thought it'd be complete. Nothing to see here.
