Fashion firm Boohoo has confirmed it has made an offer to acquire the online business of UK brands Karen Millen and Coast Clue in the first sentence Correct which I was I said no intention to keep the stores open. Would seem odd would it not to buy the online sales but allow someone else to trade the same brand from the stores?? As such I read they are Buying the brands in their entirety and closing the stores but isn’t as simple as that as I think you know as landlords will be involved unless online is a separate company and as part of the deal they liquidate the high street company and all Brand rights pass to boohoo But you appear to know better so share share with the class?

He is still very much involved in the Football Ventures consortium (I assume as an investor). As an investor eh? The total share capital of FVWL is 6 whole GB pounds and Jeff Thomas previously had two of them. Now he's got less than two. Some investment if you ask me. Who has been putting ideas into the cutting-edge mind of the esteemed and mighty Marc Iles?

One must assume that whatever is left of FVWL, the company will be borrowing some money from somewhere, not entirely unlike KA and Mister Sitter, except they took on the whole debt as well.

Royale Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 So is anyone thinking liquidation will be allowed to happen like will the EFL allow it to or do you reckon the deal will get completed
Matty Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 It will be completed, I’d have been more worried if we didn’t play against Wycombe.

It's pure speculation at this stage all the same, but it's possible. Edited August 6, 2019 by Matthew1234

How can they keep them open or close them when they don't own them? And they don't own them cos they've not bought them. They are buying the online part of the business which doesn't seem odd to me at all, given that they are market leaders of that model and it's infinitely more cost effective than a high street operation. I'm no expert, and I wasn't having a go.

Fast forward two years and shareholders at the AGM had nowt to say about Mister Sitter, the ST's bessie mate, but thought KA had worked miracles.
