According to your link they have no intention to buy the stores never mind keep them open.

Fashion firm Boohoo has confirmed it has made an offer to acquire the online business of UK brands Karen Millen and Coast

Clue in the first sentence

Correct which I was I said no intention to keep the stores open. Would seem odd would it not to buy the online sales but allow someone else to trade the same brand from the stores?? As such I read they are Buying the brands in their entirety and closing the stores  but isn’t as simple as that as I think you know as landlords will be involved

unless online is a separate company and as part of the deal they liquidate the high street company and all Brand rights pass to boohoo

But you appear to know better so share share with the class?

I'm told the Jeff Thomas resignation as a board member is not a big issue. He is still very much involved in the Football Ventures consortium (I assume as an investor).

As an investor eh? The total share capital of FVWL is 6 whole GB pounds and Jeff Thomas previously had two of them. Now he's got less than two.

Some investment if you ask me. Who has been putting  ideas into the cutting-edge mind of the esteemed and mighty Marc Iles?

Just go and stab him and be done with it.

So by your logic, FV have bid six quid for the club?

TBF that's 500% more than Anderson.

One must assume that whatever is left of FVWL, the company will be borrowing some money from somewhere, not entirely unlike KA and Mister Sitter, except they took on the whole debt as well.

There are other money people around. Nick Mason. Keith Morris (NOT Tom) and Someone or thing called Lubbock.

Think the Lubbock reference might be to the accountants Lubbock Fine

So is anyone thinking liquidation will be allowed to happen like will the EFL allow it to or do you reckon the deal will get completed

Of course the EFL will allow it to happen, I can't see them jumping through hoops for Bury

Fair enough I mean I think I’m at the stage now where I’m genuinely panicking for the future of my football club

While Jeff Thomas is no longer a person with significant control, surely it's also possible that he's still investing but through debt rather than equity.

It's pure speculation at this stage all the same, but it's possible.

How can they keep them open or close them when they don't own them? And they don't own them cos they've not bought them.

They are buying the online part of the business which doesn't seem odd to me at all, given that they are market leaders of that model and it's infinitely more cost effective than a high street operation.

I'm no expert, and I wasn't having a go.

Best thing to do is stop reading these pages and chill out until you get a text or call from a pal if that's how you feel because all the 'I reckon and 'what if's' aint doing you any good are they?  Chill fellow fan 🙂

I know mate but it’s just hard because honestly we are being dealt with so shittly like we only get information from two journos who we don’t even know are genuinely honest with what we say and I just want to listen to my fellow fans and hopefully see that confirmation that we have been bought and we can go back to being a normal football club

The fans of Bolton should be up there as some of the best in England yeah with have a few nobheads but at the end of the day the shit we have gone through as a fan base should not happen to any club and hopefully in a couple of months time we can look back st these times and think of how bad it was then and not to think that we all used to support a football that doesn’t exist anymore

Im hoping the slagging off of players is a thing of the past after the weekend, i certainly hate hearing it.

Will you make an exception for Buckley or a Trotter or Zat Knight? Even us tolerant types have a tipping point!

That's what some folk thought at the time especially those who got 100p for every pound they were owed. Fast forward two years and shareholders at the AGM had nowt to say about Mister Sitter, the ST's bessie mate, but thought KA had worked miracles.
