F1 is back

Looking forward to this season

Changes to the front wing supposed to mean more overtaking - lets see

Tyre compounds simplified

Just sat down to watch recording of qualifying. Be interesting to see if Hamilton still dominant but Red Bull the big curiosity for me this year. Will they move forward or slip back into the pack?

That's an even more impressive win then. The other fellas all had cars.

I think over time he's earned most of that luck. He earned his place in the best car by excelling in lesser ones. He gambled on Mercedes when they weren't the finished article. Today with pole he mayb

Which is interesting. Horner and Wheatley have already gone back to the stewards so what’s taking so long

Look we’ve fucked up. But don’t think it’s fair to end it this way. What can we do?

Clearly it would have been fairly anti climactic to finish under the safety car. But tough. Hamilton was home and hosed until the accident. He shouldn’t have been punished for someone else’s mistake.

Horner walking in with a world champion t shirt on makes him look a right cunt.

I’m a Lewis fan but if it was the other way round I’d be saying it needs overturning

Spot on. This isn’t about trying to overturn it so a favorite can win. The sport is fucked if this doesn’t get sorted out

Merc are out the meeting

Just watching it back, the fact about the 4 ( 5?) cars that were let through is that Max is just by being behind them about 20 car lengths behind Lewis so instead of being alongside he is a long way back.

It really is farcical.

It really is. No other race I’ve ever known has let a race restart like that. Finish the race under the safety car or allow time to allow all lapped cars to unlap themselves.

FIA have allowed themselves to look like dicks

Result stands

They we’re never going to do anything else

Verstappen has won it. Not overturning it.

court it is

Be interesting to hear what bullshit they have made up to justify breaking their own rules

I don't care Max won, it is the way this happened that stinks like a Tory Xmas party.

Race directors discretion how he deploys and utilises the safety car.

Technically, they’re right.

The rules seem to contradict each other.

If it’s not overturned then teams will just think “fuck it” next year and do what they want because they’ll just challenge the FIA

Yeah exactly

It always is his discretion as it’s him that deploys it or withdraws it and him solely. What that doesn’t allow him to do, technically , is then decide that other rules don’t apply

will go to court this. Has to for the sake of the sport

Yep said that earlier. How on earth can anyone be asked to obey the rules when they’ve broken them. They’ve shit out of making the right call here. Utterly shit out.
brown envelope job?

Netflix have deeeeeeeep pockets

One of the most ridiculous decisions i've seen in a so-called sport. And I've witnessed Mike Riley refereeing in real life.

The FIA have caused a bigger stink than a bomb inone of those holes in the ground at a rock festival that everyone shits in

This sums it up for me.

Nah. No brown envelop job. Just utterly unable to do their job

Really shows how the sport misses Charlie Whiting

Maybe Horner was right…
