Random social media stuff

There isn't a thread for sharing the random shit you see on social, and they all can't have their own threads, so maybe this one ought to do it

I know.

I spent the first couple of minutes thinking, that's nice, next time we have a wet Sunday afternoon, I'll have a crack at that.

Then.......

Same here. I've got a lovely Epiphone Casino Natural that's waiting for that wet Sunday, but has been sat untouched for about 3 years. Need to get rid as it torments me watching stuff like that. It's never gonna happen and I need to realise that 🙄

Same.

Epiphone les Paul in sunburst...

Sat doing nowt for 8 years. Luckily my son who is 8....(!) has started guitar lessons at school and they're going down the reading music route rather than learning the odd tab... so hopefully he'll teach me in the near future!

Yep. Reading music is the way to do it. I learned violin at school, and could read music sheets perfectly, which then took me down the fiddle route (no @Youri McAnespienot what you're thinking) and I got quite good but I discovered girls, booze, footy, and red leb and I didn't have the foresight to think that being a good "fiddler" would have any benefit in the future

They're gorgeous. One on my shopping list.

David Gedge plays them. Or twats them more like.

Never too late to pick up an instrument and learn.

It's not about being a virtuoso, do.it for fun and for yourself.

Music isn't a sport, you are competing against no one.

Correct. I’ll flog my epiphone for now and probably pick up an acoustic when I retire

I'd have to have a very patient teacher.

I have a Kerry King Signature B.C Rich Warlock guitar. It's not even been out of its Case for about 5 years. I never seem to have enough spare time to even think about picking it up.

Yeah, wish I had all the free online stuff when I was learning.

I'd love to play the piano, makes everything else so much easier. Hopefully at some point I'll have the spare cash when the kids are older.

My mate has got a hetfield signature explorer (black album era) he's got a few guitars and never uses that one as its too heavy (ie weight) some guitars are just nice to have.

Signed for Dean now, old Kerry.
