Looking at this from early April, redist countries don't stop our citizens from travelling. Is this still the same, or is it a total ban now?

I know for a fact that plenty of folk on orange list didn't give a shiny shite about quarantine but rocked up in one A&E complaining of breathing difficulties after coming back from certain Asian countries. Not Bolton A&E by the way and this was a couple of months ago.

Those countries got put on the red list very soon after (seems everyone had an excuse to travel) but India didn't yet they had a higher rate of infection.

New varient found and still no red list. After plenty of warning so everyone can arrange a flight back we finally red list India.

Surely someone can explain why or how this came about?

Always said India should have been redded earlier. However, you should look at the link, to understand the point.

According to that, travel to/back from India isn't forbidden to English citizens. Hence why I asked if its still the same. If it is, then the argument for red listing them falls, as it is the same for all such nations.

If however, it has since been strengthened, then that makes more sense.
