All the serious scientists say to look at the excess etc definition at the end, rather than part way through.

excess deaths by age - that will be the true measure

lockdown and restrictions will definatley kill thousands - but what "chaps my ass" is  the "lockdown will kill more" brigade foregting to calculate how many would have died without it, and what it might have been like - they never do.

Why cant we look now and at the end

The figure of excess deaths this year to date, may 14th, aint ever changing

We can - just can't compare against other countries, because most of them aint doing it yet - I think thats what the message is

How does this regionalism work for people who’s job it is to travel all over?

Not a hand holding question, a genuine enquiry as to whether certain areas become no-go zones at certain R levels?

The Internet is full of coronavirus bullshit. The sceptics and conspiracy theorists are organised and have bloggs and websites already, thats how they make money,  from clicks, youtube views and selling books off the back off conspiracy shite.

They drag out some "expert" of an unrelated science, or industry,  or a conspiacry theorist with an ulterior motive or a political axe to grind, and they twist and cherry pick data to suit their narrative, like the sky news article has done. And loads of people beleive what they say.

Funny how none of the governments are listening to these crackpots.

I've got a few mates who keep sending me youtube videos of random interviews with so called experts that they've never heard of before,  and they take everything they say at face value - "see must be true, she's a scientist"

The same mates were saying, "this virus wont come to the UK", then, "it's just the flu". Now that there's a load of deaths it's changed to "The effects of the lockdown will kill more"

Barnpots the lot of em.

"Don't believe everything you read" (unless 'what you read' is a tiny number of fringe scientists and conspiracy theorists saying something that you already agree with, then you repost it and call it 'interesting')

It's one thing to be all 'Project Fear' when something is a bit more abstract and distant, it's quite another to do it having literally seen tens of thousands die in a short period of time from a contagious virus.

I opened up Twitter yesterday to see Matt Le Tissier asking Full Fact if it's true that Fauci has granted immunity to Bill Gates against vaccine lawsuits. He might be an ugly cunt who used to be good at kicking a football, but he's also got half a million followers.

a refusal to accept what is happening in the here and now and saying "wait till the end" is similar to when DF was in charge

everyone could see it was going terribly and how it would end, but you believed in him and rather than be critical kept saying "let's see how it plays out"

when it played out it was "right, no time to dwell on the past, let's move on"

it was the same with KA - the pro KA brigade had no time for real time criticism and chose to ignore the seemingly obvious, and when it all came to a head and the doom mongers and anti KA brigade were shown to have be right, it was time to move on

and in terms of what damage was done, it was a case of "well, we'll never really know"

basically, this mindset of not looking at the numbers or being critical of the government in the here and now is exactly the same.

He (k)nobbed her off Home and Away though...Some unchivalrous type ex of her's sold some risque photos of her to the tabloids at the time (Le Tissier was shagging her) - dressed as a schoolgirl and so on. I reckon' she was filth, Abi Titmuss style filth. Lucky big-nosed cunt.

Ooh, delicate snowflake watch yourself you might melt...You'd have been shot at dawn in WW1. 😬

Rocci Forthouse says it's reet to crack on and he's a billionaire, you'd probably rather heed the word of the doomsayers with vested interests.

Hospitals are empty why are nurses still walking to the front of the queue. Fifteen fucking minutes I’ve been stood here for and some one walks out the car straight in. Scandalous

'Barm' refers to a portion of dough reserved for the next day's batch (for the yeast content) - originally barmcakes were made of any excess from this.

The longer proving time would aerate the barm and, even if knocked back, would produce a larger, lighter flourcake.

Barmcakes are used in chippies for this very quality - a flourcake would be too stodgy for chips for example.

There are oven bottoms that can be referred to as muffins but nothing else.

Cumbrian bumpkins will ask for chip muffins in chippies, similarly Burnley clampetts will ask for a ham and cheese teacake in butty shops.

They are both obviously wrong and this state of affairs must be the result of marriage between close relations down the years.
