"HOTEL CHAIN MAGNATE WANTS HOTELS TO RE-OPEN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE"

I have a feeling he might have a slightly biased opinion.

Pisses me off. Understandably he wants the economy back on track ASAP, but why back up the argument with bullshit, trying to make out like its fuck all, and print it in the daily mail like he's an authority on epidemiology. Might as well ask Margaret from the Gregg's at middlebrook.

"Margaret do you think we should all go back to work?

Yes, this reminds me of the swine flu that we had back in 2013, that didn't stop me from making steak bakes, why should this. The world's gone mad. They only had 0.00001 of the population of South Korea die from this. In Belgium, pie shop workers only have a 0.03 per cent chance of dying, according to hercule poirot's study. Statisticaly I've got more chance of choking to death on a vegan sausage roll.

Aye, not so much.

It read like an article from The Onion.

I’m also getting to a place where I think we need to let the virus run it’s course now

We’ve had time to build much needed capacity for the NHS (beds, ventilators etc), the contact tracing infrastructure is nearly in place, it’s time to save the economy now

If it means locking down the vulnerable groups whilst the rest of us crack on them so be it. The social distancing will need to stop at some point soon if your to get large sections of the economy going again, they just can’t be mothballed until the virus is beat, that might not happen for years

Exactly. We could even regionalise hotspots.

I think people underestimate the shit storm that’s on the horizon. It’s gonna make this lockdown bollocks a walk in the park.

Also if kids going back gets overturned isn’t it leaving the door open for other sectors to kick off over safety issues

Stop the furlough scheme and see if people want to return to work then

Way too simplistic

Ill be honest, ive been glad of a break but would be happy to return

However, we still have many customers who cant open up

On govt orders

Beg to differ, as will a few of my colleagues that have been ill from it.

Worth remembering that one doctor once stated that vaccinations caused Autism, and backed it up with evidence. He was struck off but the damage he caused is still having a knock on effect now..

Every sector has the right to what they feel are safe working conditions.  Teachers have the benefit of a strong union (bunch of wankers) behind them though.

The road back to work for many isnt going to be smooth. And there will always be some who have genuine concerns and some who are just workshy lazy cunts. That’s goes for every sector and every job role though. Some people will be loving this stay at home malarkey. Some itching to get back

and some who haven’t stopped would love a couple of weeks off 😁

It’s not about that for me as my stance is I’m fully in support of teachers as in their jobs pay holidays etc but I do think June should happen

No doubt there’s places where if you raised concerns or said it’s not safe to come back it’s “off you pop”

Lets not forget, many teachers have kids

Kids who wont be back at school

Theyre on full pay, so added to the child care problem theyre going to have, is it any wonder its proving hard to get them back
