Got to try and keep spending as much as we can, keep the economy going in the short term

If everyone squirrels away it will make it worse

Fuck all spend it on...... hang on a minute I’m off to ALDI for more bog rolls.

My wife went shopping at 7am this morning after her night shift. Apart from the usual shortages of bog rolls and pasta, she also noticed flour and white wine vinegar all gone. Dog food also in short supply.

I might take a delivery of red wine, just in case

I’d stop short of calling people idiots

Unprecedented times and people just want to feel prepared

let them cupboard fill for now, food production is running at full tilt so can meet the short term demand spikes

It will take some volume out of it when it kicks off in a couple of months and staff shortages start disrupting supply

My cupboards are empty mind

aye, was just saying the same thing

no one on the planet has experienced anything like this before

so hard to say whats right and whats wrong

just go with your gut, and be careful and responsible, and I include shopping in that

I sell dog food.

Seriously, if people are struggling, let me know- quickly - and I will approach my wholesaler before they start to struggle.

Apart from the odd few million; Ethiopians, Sudanese, Rwandans/Burundians, Congolese, Vietnamese, North Koreans, Former Yugoslavs etc.

Spot on, but ensure you have the best travel insurance

Right, can get a range from my supplier, including their own brand which is zero vat rated.

Chicken and rice

Lamb and rice

£12 for 15kg.

Other well known brands are available, but I suspect some of these might drop off first.

Is that complete

any wet meat?

The Chinese takeaway are currently preparing my tea with no mention of shortages.

I have a slab of lager, several bottles of red and a bottle of Woodford Reserve.

Theres a ocean of water available from my tap and enough bumwad to last a week at least.

I do however have a shitty update from the carehome.

Complete.

Can do some tins too. Usually complete is more competitive.

Personally, I don't use either, and make my own from fresh ingredients including meat from a raw food (barf diet) supplier.

Works out pretty cheap, and is better nutritionally.

If you are struggling for the weekend, I don't mind popping down the road and dropping some of my stuff to tide you over.

A neighbour says her dog loves my stuff!

Yes

Through a 2 inch opening in the window of her room. Stood outside in the rain shouting to be heard.

Passers by looking on wondering why a handsome lad in a hoodie was shouting through a carehome window asking if the person inside had enough clean underwear to last for the next couple of days.

On a serious note, they are absolute in their zero visitor rule. Which I understand. But it’s like she’s been put in prison and that’s why I have a huge amount of lager for tonight.

Leave it with me, and I'll contact wholesale Monday and get some for you. I'm just looking for my list, but I do know they do chappie. I'll send you a pm later/tomorrow when I find it with more information.

Just so you know, the stuff I make is cooked- just use meats from raw diet so I know what's going in.

we are reactive eaters who tend to decide on the day what we are having for tea

Same here. Reckon we haven’t done a “big shop” for over 10 years because we are both away with work so much. Tend to make big batches of food and freeze

Last three days I’ve been to Lidl in Newton Heath, Aldi in Clayton, Tesco in Failsworth and Morrison’s in Chaddy. No queues, no empty shelves, no folk with trollies laden over head-height

My mum went to Aldi at School Hill yesterday and queued for over 40 mins at the till. I went to Aldi in town and ASDA in Astley Bridge today. Utter carnage. Empty shelves, massive queues, signs restricting the number of items folk can buy

Trying to work out who’s the mongiest?? Boltonians for panic-buying or East Mancs for ignoring/not understanding a threat??

A weird one this. Only the other day, someone on here put up a link saying how good Bolton folk were for not panic buying.

Seems an infectious action...
