That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Wife tells me there were only 3 bottles of any type of milk at Tesco Middlebrook, can happily report that once again cider supplies seem unaffected.

She’s right. Plenty of hop house 13, got a few yknow to do my civic duty

Just went to house of raja's. Plenty of milk, sacks of rice available if you need one, but less choice. Busy as hell, and suppliers putting up prices for next delivery. Also antibacterial soap with spices available!

Called in at Tesco Extra, on Bradford street- pasta available, and bread and milk, but no bog roll or cleaning materials.

Apparently Sainsbury's is mad.

Well at least everyone seems to be getting the message and cleaning more.

filthy cunts.

Saw a headline last night, "Day of Death" 😵

Put radio on this morning and heard the global death rate has actually gone down to 0.7%  - and this includes those teated for the disease after dying of other causes.

It’s like the worst of Brexit, TV, Radio and Newspapers just make up shite stories, once again our ‘Treasured’ paid for by everyone, envy of the the World broadcaster, I give you the ‘BBC’, can’t walk a honest balanced line without trying to undermine the Government and unnecessarily scare people, particularly older more vulnerable people living on their own

I’ve always worried about Traf, but it’s been more of “might end up on a register” sort of worry.

Now, I’m just hoping everyone sits in isolation and starts booking holidays to cheer themselves up.

Use Traf!

:D

After our Far Eastern cruise was cancelled Mrs Manc booked for us to go to Dominican Republic tomorrow morning. That’s just now been cancelled. Got to wonder how many airlines and holiday companies will get into serious financial trouble now

Very worried for folk like Traf especially

I'm more concerned about my sanity than the financial situation. I might have to live off credit cards for a while, but I'm very confident that when all this is over, the travel industry is going to be busy, as long as there's some survivors to book holidays.

girl I know lives in Madrid, currently on lockdown

no one can leave their apartments, she posted some stuff on instagram - everyone out on their balconies, one lad got his decks and a speaker out and keeping everyone entertained on a saturday night

then they all stop at 11pm to give a round of applause across the city to the emergency services

god bless the human spirit

After days of emptying the shelves of bog roll and pasta the parasites now seem to have set their sights on baked beans. I hope they're eating pasta for their Christmas dinners.

Supermarket queues mixed with people clearly doing a normal weekly shop and cretins panic-buying and looking shifty. Some dirty looks being thrown around and acerbic comments made.

Felt very sorry for the clearly harassed supermarket staff who must feel like they've landed in a scene from Zulu. Given they're handling money and in contact with large numbers of people they'll be among the most susceptible.

Every Briton over the age of 70 will be told "within the coming weeks" to stay at home for an extended period to shield them from coronavirus, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said.

He told the BBC the advice will not come into force just yet but when it does it will last "a very long time".

Not if but when. Scary.

There’s simply no way to police that.

it won’t happen.

It’s advice. Enough will follow it to slow spread. Though talk is government trying to get emergency powers to allow them to arrest anyone breaking quarantine.

No surprise but the wonderful snp have decided they aren’t going to enforce the same advice and it will no be isolation for the over 70’s. I hope if this results in one extra unnecessary death that she swings for every incremental person that sadly has passed away.

Some will de because of the isolation. It’s swings and roundabouts. We aren’t taking same extremes as Japan or Hong Kong, should Boris swing for every extra death because of that?

If folk want to see nobody for 6 months, make it their choice

I can't even begin to comment on that statement 😕

which is probably why you think it's crazy, you have no concerns

I'll probably get my folks to come and live at mine and let them sit in the front room all day - and make sure they have everything they need - no need to come within 2 metres of them, but need to make sure they are ok

far easier than driving to horwich however many times a week to make sure they are ok

and if me or the mrs show symptoms, the other takes them home

that's my thinking at the moment anyway, but I'm not fancying the idea of leaving them home alone to wait this out
