warm or cold piss?

Cold obviously it's winter and if you live in a bunalow, throw the piss though your letterbox. Get some lollysticks and shit on them, then push them throught your letterbox as well, just in case they try and post something

Radio 6music is great.

everything else would manage just fine with advertising.

Apple or someone like that should make a stupid bid and scrap the license fee

The fact she is still alive and not floating down the Thames is beyond me

Every time I've stuck radio six music on it's been someone just talking for 5 mins, about music, so switched off

Your alternative is C4 news or ITV news which both swing in a very distinct direction.

Be a huge shame if we were to pot it.

Since the Referendum how did coverage on the BBC differ to C4 or ITV?

I can see why the owners of a tv station could influence editorial content but I used to believe that the BBC would always give a balanced view

Over the last decade the impartiality of the BBC has disappeared

If the demographic age is 55 I think we can assume that a majority of license payers were Brexiteers and as one of those, paying £150 to have the piss taken has not gone down well

If it was free then no one would be complaining. Compulsory tax, which this is, then it's get rid because no one likes paying it. I can understand the argument given that we live in an age of voluntary TV subscription. Do I get what I pay for from the BBCs output? Probably not. But, its always there and the bits I like, I like. But the same argument goes for my Sky Sports and BTS subscription too. And that's a hell of a lot dearer than the TV licence. Be careful what you wish for. We'll be back to wobberly Dr Who sets before you know it.

A number of good series and dramas etc.

Well into silent witness, even if at times it's a bit fanciful.

I agree it is worth the money.

Agreed.

When it comes to dramas, BBC pisses over anything else, certainly in terrestrial. The difference between those on ITV and those on BBC is remarkable.

It's more expensive than Netflix and amazon per year

But their output is fine and justifys it for me

But the issue is people have a choice

Just make it pay per view for the same price and they'd probably do just as well, and in your subscription you get access to their website

As a sweetener everyone gets radio for free

If there is a shortfall then just charge more for global rights to things like peaky blinders and killing eve

Changing the name will probably help as well as you don't need a tv these days

They need to move with the times

Or you could just buy the radio times instead

Theweatheroutlook.com for me

The license fee works out at over £13 a month when it goes up which is more than a 5 user Netflix subscription. The only person in our house who regularly uses any BBC service or any service that would use broadcast masts is me and so at the mo I have made the decision to pay the license. We've not always paid it in the past and if I change what media I use we probably wouldn't pay it ever again.

It was obvious 20 years ago that things would shift dramatically in how people comsumed media and terrestrial broadcasters have been very slow to react, and ultimately it will fuck em up.

But, should it be compulsory?

MOTD and BBC Drama first class. They just need their political bias sorting and should advertise to lose the archaic licence bollocks.

Like I said. The fact that people on both sides of the political divide think it's biased is generally a good sign.

ITV is basically a Fox News wannabe and C4 news leans more to the left than a man with one leg shorter than the other.

We all see things differently then. I am convinced thay all lean to the left and not by a few degrees only either!

I'm of the opinion that the major news broadcast outlets are as close to the middle as can be.

It shouldn’t be compulsory.

That part is Draconian.

Tenner a month would be good value though.

Aye, they need to move with the times

Most kids don't even use a TV to watch what they watch

They use a tablet to watch other kids opening presents on YouTube

Fuck do they need a tv licence for?

I don’t think the budget that Sherlock, Line Of Duty, Bodyguard, Peaky Blinders, Top Gear and all Attenborough’s shows get would be manageable on any other terrestrial channel

Some men with a leg shorter then the other lean to the right.

Just saying in the interests of imbalance.
