Dimron Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Wife's just ordered 3 cases from Laithwaites... I'm happy with a tin of Guinness Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 I had a euphoric regurgitation earlier... It was epic. Hints of Vimto, rum, cider and craft lager and puzzlement as to when I'd ate any of those flat deep fried chinese 'noodles' but the evidence was there. Right as rain and a Chicken Shawarma kebab later feeling quite good. Even better when my self-prescribed cocktail of otc and prescription drugs kick in. Quote
bolton_blondie Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Fuck it. I'm Sunday drinking. Not like I have work to get up for tomorrow and it's been a shit week. Quote
bolton_blondie Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Drinking mothers ruin again. Gin instead of food probably isn't the best idea but fuck it. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 I believe it was also called 'Mother's Ruin' because of the mistaken belief a large tumbler of it, drunk neat in a hot bath would correct 'mistakes'. Gin was invented when juniper was added to the vilest white spirits to detract from the putrid taste. The idea of 'craft' gin to Victorians would seem as absurd as 'craft' white cider or 'craft' crack to folk in the present... Quote
ErnestTurnip Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Turned out Prezzy is £3.50 a can which is not bad. There are only two further things stopping me ringing my boss and handing my notice in tonight. 1 - 3 bottles of Katy for £5 2 - 3 more bottles of Katy for £5 Sometimes you just have to. Quote
