Hate to burst anyone’s bubble but no way are Wigan going bust there are still bidders hanging around they can’t do anything until Spanish is rejected by admins but like FV with our admins Wigan will survive but very very badly damaged

Go back to your Wigan site; they wont get a buyer that's going to stop them dropping out the league

Always going to happen, they wasn’t going bang anytime soon, but unless the new owners spunk money they’re not going anywhere higher than their fan base level from now on.  And the good news is, they can’t spend what they can’t afford for two seasons 🙂

The fact that 12 months ago they were tugging themselves raw over our demise while they thought they a decent team with no debt is brilliant.

Seeing them heading back towards their level is better fun than seeing them go pop. Defeat after defeat is demoralising. Long may it continue

Basically Cristy or Crusty whatever his name is , is out but the Spaniard bid is still in the frame & favoured by the admins. So on it goes .Wigan bugle trumpeting a local business man who has connections with Far Eastern companies (de ja vu) has a bid lined up , just waiting for the green light .Expectations being pumped up again only to be punctured by the admins who already have their preferred bidder who from day one will have the supporters against them.

The model of being unable to think for themselves hasn’t really worked.

build new ground

sign Bolton players

worry about bwfc results more than their own

appoint Coyle

go into admin

Sound out a ken Anderson alikey

Next they will have a fan willing to bail them out called Mitchell Flames

Have a look at this - recently interviewed - one of the potential bidders waiting in the wings - Wigan lad - Tony Frampton

You have just got to admire his ambition .... an air of Michael Knighton about him

Planning to increase capacity, retractable roof, planning to follow the Barca & city model, invest in the borough, big early investment in the squad, move to level 1 academy they are either seriously minted or he’s a fantasist.

bearing in mind how long its taken to get over the line, you can rule out seriously minted

Why would they want to increase capacity? the scruffy fuckers couldn't fill that ground if tickets were free.

This lot not be able to bid yet as the other lot still got preferred bidder status.

Looking to attract folk from outside borough and across the world, driven by sustainable winning results on the pitch.

Why would BWFC want to move 6 miles to the council  refuse tip in Horwich? Because someone on the board owned a construction company and would make a nice few quid out of it.It can surely be the only reason for Wigan's 4,000 fans needing a 30,000 stadium

.........Nixon reporting that revised Spanish bid is now back with the EFL

Should be a formality now

Probably means they will spend the rest of their days languishing in the lower leagues ....

shame really ... leaves a place in Europe and a retractable roof so tantalisingly close ☺️

Maybe to move further away from the smell of OT. 😉

Fan base of 11-12k he says

(Mabe he's including away fans!)

Already feet of clay .

Doesn't sound like a Wigginer

Yon interviewer asked a couple of good questions , answers not that convincing .Private hospitals in Wiggin as part of the 'community' along with profit making schools !

Rugby never mentioned.

The key 'sustainable ' & growing the fanbase are both non starters.

Anyway Spaniards are in box seat.
