I don't remember any other team in admin being given so much time to get a deal done.

Pretty sure some have

I'd guess either or both Luton and Coventry

So long as they have funds, they should be allowed to continue

Sadly

The Spaniard's latest message to the fans is 'we will buy the club even if it's in league 2 ' Obviously the admins see them as offering the best deal for them & the creditors whereas the EFL have different criteria that isn't being met .Almost a perfect storm for continued stalemate.

The admins did say something about 'getting through to Dec 31st' maybe trying to pressure the EFL to approve the takeover.

Arent Krasner and his crew racking up an increasing bill by the day or is their fee already set if the Count takes over?

Hope they bleed em dry

Don’t think it’ll take too much running now, their dirty work of cutting costs is done. They’ll be doing the minimum required

How much do us lower league clubs get in grants from this deal?

Drip, drip, drip...

How embarrassing is that?

Not at all. A temporary blip. Founder members of the football league will rise again.

Playoff places in The Championship; the odd trip to Wembley but failing to reach the so call 'promised land' would suit me nicely.

EFL have refused Wigan takeover. Hahaha

They must be halfway round the u bend now, surely??

:D

A lockdown highlight

Tick fooking tock

Jelly n ice cream at the Dick Wipe

Having fucked Bury over and almost fucked us over, it looks like the EFL are determined not to be the bad guys again and are sticking to their rules.

About time. Flush the turd.

They have only blocked one of the Spanish bidders, but it leaves them with a £1m to find in less than a week

What flavour ice cream should I make this evening? 🤔

I guess the Premier League money gives them at least another month.

Shouldn’t even waste it on them.....

Apparently they don’t actually have any debts though. Our debt at the time of admin was a major noose round our necks

Looking on the bright side, if these Spaniards are struggling to get £1m together without the crooked one and the Ranson/Royle group haven’t submitted an hour including deposit etc, there ain’t a pot of gold waiting to help dig them out the shit (or L2 as it’s called)

What great news to start the day.

Lisa Nandy on Twitter is making it out to be a good thing, either she knows something or its politician talk.

Politicians pretending they care.  You don’t need to be in a position of power to know that if the EFL have rejected Cristo then him being out is a good thing (for them)

Nandy’s pushing for it to be fan owned isn’t she? Power to the people and all that.

Seems a perfect way to run a non-league club in a rugby owned stadium

A FAN owned Wiggin Athletic isn't going to go far.

They got no fans! (Mr T narrating)

Wealdstone raider probably better imo

Hate to burst anyone’s bubble but no way are Wigan going bust there are still bidders hanging around they can’t do anything until Spanish is rejected by admins but like FV with our admins Wigan will survive but very very badly damaged
