The big academies are producing robots too. I've watched all the England under 17 and 19 matches on over the last few weeks. England look shit bar the odd player with a bit of flair.

My lad had his U7s final at City's academy this morning. 5-0 down in the first five minutes, looking very grim. Amazingly pulled it back to be winning 6-5. They were neck and neck until we went 11-9 up with 2 minutes left. Thought the job was done.

Unbelievably the other team scored 3 in the last 2 minutes and we lost 12-11. Lost it with literally the LAST kick of the game. Genuinely gutted, but massively proud of all of them.

He played the full 40 minutes and walked off the pitch absolutely shattered and in tears. Chin up lads.

Heskey & Ridgeon are not from Bolton....

Club presentation yesterday- me, my assistant coaches, a couple of academy kids who have come through the club, and about 70% of the kids I coach each week!

Our Johnny took his trophy in school today. He’s telling everyone it’s the Balon d’or. Great effort from all at the  club mate and well done for remembering every kids name, an achievement in itself! 
 

Back on to Salford Boys: wanderers have stopped a lad in Billys class going for trials. Pathetic really ain’t it.

it is pathetic- if the games do clash, club always gets priority! Burnley actively encourage it- you only get to represent district/county for a short period, and they want the kids to experience it

And the chances of them clashing are very slim. He’s a cracking player as well. He will only get 50 mins on a Sunday though 🤷🏻

its a shame- dunno if they allow them at county as the games as less often, but yet they are fine with school games!

Kaden Braithwaite. Hes vice captain of city 18s as a first year scholar  and has captained city and England u17. Hes 2008 born so for  International competitions plays at u17. Stephen Mfuni england u19 centre back, same age group as Kaden was also at bolton for 3 years. They both left when greasy Ken arrived and the academy went downhill.
