Its appeasement, that's all it is, and more people will end up dying in the longer term if you essentially capitulate to agressors. These aren't peace deals in the slightest.

  • We’ve reached a point where folk are so entrenched in their support for trump that they’ll side with Putin if it means not losing face on the socials. Thats where we are now. its ok

  • That Vance is a bigger cunt than Trump

I don't think modern day tech has a young lad operating it or can be compared in any way to the hardware then, my kettle has more processing power than our navy had in 1982.

Every time I see a Russian tank taken out I see it as 5 less rapists, murderers and looters. War is hell but the Ukrainians didn’t start it.

Understood. Troops need strong leadership and that has been lacking from the Russians.

My old dad was in the tanks and linked up with Russians outside Berlin and couldn't believe their drinking and barbarism, it appears they are still in 1944.

I still maintain the Georgian & then Ukrainian leaders pulled on the Bear's tail in full knowledge of what could happen, fully expecting Uncle Sam to help them out.

You’re saying NATO territory as if NATO is some sort of Colonial organisation. It was formed to protect. No country was or are forced to join. They wanted to join to protect them from mainly Russian aggression but also other possible aggressor’s.

I believe that's how the Russians see it, and possibly the Yanks

Definitely the Russians. Not sure about the U.S. but I get your point.

If the Officer in charge doesn't encourage the young lad to speak out then no matter what tech he has means nowt. I understand Sam Salt adopted a regime of fear, someone once told me if anyone was going to lose his ship...

Bring on Artificial Intelligence, let the drones do the warfare

It may have gone unnoticed to some on here but a Bolton born a bred journalist interviewed Volodymyr Zelenskyy today.

Correct. Shouldn’t hold the shitty city tag against him though, could have been a red. That would be unforgivable.😊

I don’t know enough about military hardware to comment , but I’m pretty sure Putin did not see this invasion being such a fuck up.

He’s lost a pretty key part of his armoury today. The more he loses, the more likely he is to go rogue, I suspect.

It could be a hollow victory.

He needs taking out soon. Fingers crossed

Was that his main one? Or only one?

Russia’s navy isn’t as big as he’d like, they’ve never really had enough deep water(warm) ports to build one. They’ve relied on subs.

To lose a flagship unit is embarrassing. Especially if it is just a fire - might be less shameful if it has been taken out by Ukraine.

In either case, it’s a proper kick in the balls. How he reacts now is anyones guess.

The importance of the loss shouldn’t be ignored. The fact that the Ukraines were able to do this is immense.

1. How stupid are the Russians to think that Ukraine didn’t have the capability to do this and put the ship in a position to be targeted.

2. The Russians will now wonder what Ukraine’s capabilities really are.

A serious turning point in the war.

It wasn’t a fire. It was taken out by two   Ukraine Neptune missiles.

That’s the story I believe, and almost certainly the truth. But in Russia, they tell their own “truth”

Not sure losing your main battleship to incompetence is any better a spin than being taken out by Ukraine.

Either way, it’s a shit choice for Team Putin

Reckon it was done using imported/donated weaponry?

The reports last night, which so far have been accurate say that it was Ukrainian made Neptune missiles. Ironically, the ship was also built in the Ukraine.

He needs to stop fucking about and drop a mini nuke or some chemicals if he wants to win

All going to stack up on May 9th

Russia will go for victory in Donbas and Ukraine will want to kick them out.

An old ship like that is a good target for a simple missile attack

😊

It was their flagship, it was there to protect other ships in the offensive, it had multiple anti missile defences, it was the best of the best of Russia’s fleet. It was taken out, sunk by fairly ‘simple’ missiles. It should never have been in range of these simple missiles.
The Russians are not very good really.

This Ukrainian stamp was unveiled yesterday. The same ship that is now at the bottom of the Black Sea. Coincidence?

it seems the navy is as bad as the army

I’m guessing that the info from Moscow that both the land and sea forces are getting is shite.
