Its appeasement, that's all it is, and more people will end up dying in the longer term if you essentially capitulate to agressors. These aren't peace deals in the slightest.

  • We’ve reached a point where folk are so entrenched in their support for trump that they’ll side with Putin if it means not losing face on the socials. Thats where we are now. its ok

  • That Vance is a bigger cunt than Trump

Yes, clearly it exists. The point I'm making is that Putin think it has no right to (at least as a nation state).

The power in Russia lies within the Kremlin not with the oligarchs.

And Putin has flushed out dissent, I think the Oligarchs considered him a safe pair of hands when he first came to power, I'd bet they're fast changing their opinion.

I think there's a slim to moderate chance that we'll see Russia use tactical nukes on the battlefield before the end of the year.

Then we really will have a choice to make!

I thought the use of chemical weapons was imminent a few weeks ago, surrounding tight areas and busing civilians out so they could claim there were no non-combatants in the area

Every person who was ever conscripted in Finnish armed forces is given his rifle and ammo when demobbed. They then become reservists until told to stand down.

I learned this from a Finnish bloke in Majorca who had recently left the army.

He also has to turn up for a few weekends every year to check any skill-decay and update with new warfare tactics, etc.

Norway is the same

How do they go about getting weapons to Ukraine now?

No one had a clue when I asked yesterday

How are the 120 armoured vehicles going to be delivered? Big old British Armour will be a politically high priority target for the Ruskies.

By sea? It won't be by the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and they have to get through the sea blockade, maybe that is what the anti ship weapons are for although the Black Sea Fleet has a good submarine ability, that is if the Turks allow the shipment through the Bosphorus.

That leaves rail and we'll find out who really does have air superiority, if I was leading a ground attack squadron I'd be drooling at the thought of such a juicy target.

Strange one that, a reliable twitter Ukranian account said a week back that weapons etc were still getting into Mariupol, always thought it was odd that they've managed to hold out for so long.

Pink Floyd have got together to bring a song out to raise money for the Ukraines (Hey Hey Rise Up) and I wonder if our Shaz would do the honours and allow Nick Mason free use of the stadium, he part owns, for a gig?

Wonder if he’ll let me drive his 250 GTO

I keep asking myself what it would take for us to get properly involved. Is it only if they actually attack or invade a NATO country? Things couldn't really be any worse in Ukraine itself.

If they attack a NATO country, we are properly involved, as are all NATO members. It would last a matter of minutes.

Typical

Half our orders from China are on a 4 - 400 week lead time, but they can get their shitty plastic rockets and poggies to the Donbass within 3 days.

Depressing that European countries would do that, absolutely shocking.

Russia has been meddling a little in the region recently, and its perhaps no surprise to see them bringing more weapons in.

Not sure that means they're automatically going to go to Russia though. Anyway, NATO can quickly knock the fuck out of their military if needs be. Done it before.

Report of a chemical attack in Mariupol.

Need hard evidence such as a shell that hasn't gone off... gas tends to be blown away, any skin blisters could be claimed to be phosphorous... unfortunately we might need lots of bodies

That friendly fire video doing the rounds on Twitter where a tank fires on supposedly Ukranian soldiers is fooking grim.
