Its appeasement, that's all it is, and more people will end up dying in the longer term if you essentially capitulate to agressors. These aren't peace deals in the slightest.

  • We’ve reached a point where folk are so entrenched in their support for trump that they’ll side with Putin if it means not losing face on the socials. Thats where we are now. its ok

  • That Vance is a bigger cunt than Trump

I read Tim Marshall’s stuff, he tends to be fairly accurate about geopolitical events, and he’s absolutely convinced Putin will use tactical nukes.

That will drag NATO into the fray and from there it really is down to just how mental Putin actually is in terms of how far it escalates.

The odds of it happening do seem much shorter now.

I read a piece this morning from an ex CIA guy that was really good. He thinks it is likely also, quite a frightening read.

Putin is now evacuating Russians from Kherson as the Ukrainian army roll in.

In case you were wondering where his most likely target for a tactical nuke was.

He's attempting to evacuate Ukrainians, not Russians.

They’re not leaving though, he’s taking those who want to go though.

Either way, we are seemingly very close to him doing something fckin dreadful

The tactical nuke, used as a escalate/de-escalate weapon, is deployed in an area with very few people. Minimises casualties, but sends a warning. Using one in a town defeats the object.

He could let them go north then.

He won’t do it.

That's what everyone was saying on the 23rd of February.

I doubt the people wanting to leave have much choice.

That article from the cia man says not.

Suppose it depends upon your view of things.

To normal thinking folk he is just that, and an analysis by a psychologist gave good evidence.

The cia man explains it in terms of an "indoctrination" and power crazy.

Either way, he might use one, but using it incorrectly would hamper its effect.

If he uses one over the Black Sea surely it would affect Rusia too

This is true. It’s deportation then.
Nothing makes sense with Putin and the Russians. I wouldn’t put it past them to use the civilians as a human shield. Either troops mingling with civilians or a convoy of both to take heavy equipment with them. We’ll soon find out.

There’s been a Ukrainian military blackout of information for the past week in Kherson region. Something is about happen.

The Russians have obviously lost control.

Might not be too many celebrations though, as Putin won't take that lightly.

Feels like a turning point is upon is

What does that Redneck in his shed have to say about it all? He's been pretty on the money so far.

They've not told him of their military plans neither I presume, so he's in the dark too.

Hopefully plenty more air defense stuff going in and twatting of the Russians continuing.

What are the planes involved, what will the RAF plane be doing and what do you think will be the escort fighter?

It's one of the most power surveillance planes in the world basically soaking all sorts of radar, radio and electronic intelligence and theres not many of them available! As its on a NATO mission it could have anything from any of the member nations escorting it, it's literally on a rota I think. These aren't the kinds of close calls we want!

Probably a daft question, but why they called rivet joints?

No idea actually! Many of the surveillance type planes have daft names like Cobra Ball and Combat Sent. Might just be two computer generated words

See there's major concern that the ruskies may be about to blow up a large dam, that will flood large parts of the kherson region and crimea too. Does that suggest they're concerned about losing both areas?
