Its appeasement, that's all it is, and more people will end up dying in the longer term if you essentially capitulate to agressors. These aren't peace deals in the slightest.

  • We’ve reached a point where folk are so entrenched in their support for trump that they’ll side with Putin if it means not losing face on the socials. Thats where we are now. its ok

  • That Vance is a bigger cunt than Trump

Looks like the Russians have started to occupy the houses of the citizens they've moved from Kherson in a move that will give them the chance to use their numerical advantage in door to door/street to street fighting - as opposed to the battlefield fighting the Ukrainians have excelled at. That will also play to the strengths of the Wagner group and the Chechens they use.

If the Ukranians are smart, they'll skirt round and cut off Kherson rather than get involved in a slugging match - although breaking the supply lines would open up two fronts.

Read that Ukraine are reluctant to go straight into Kherson as they think it might be a trap

Classy.

The Russian lurch from one embarrassment to the next. They aren’t a superpower and are now exposing the one power they had, fear.

Makes you wonder why they spent years meddling in western affairs for all this.

Their masterplan was to divide and conquer.

Brexit, Trump, break Nato and EU, have us over a barrel with energy supplies (pardon the pun)

All one big fuck off plan. They expected Ukraine to shit their pants.

Corruption to their very core is what has fucked Russia in Ukraine. That's what's most concerning about the shambles we've had in power for the last few years. When the shit hits the fan they're all too scared to tell the truth, so things just get worse.

It is across the world. Over 50% of Republican candidates in the mid terms repeated claims that the presidential election was fixed. People say anything to get power.

Problem is it works.

Weirdly, the cheating only happened in seats that weren't won by Republicans.

Fancy.

Not always. As we are seeing with these mid-term results.

But often enough as we have seen over the last 12 years

True.

Russian troops ordered to pull out of Kherson. They're officially back to square one after sacrificing tens of thousands of men, and a shit load of equipment.

They're allegedly withdrawing to defensible lines across the river from where they can continue to destroy Ukraine's economy, infrastructure and cities. They've taken hundreds of thousands of people by force - God knows what future they'll face in Russia - and looted everything from national treasures and artwork to personal goods. If they are ever finally kicked out of Ukraine there will be nothing left and nothing for those lucky enough to have made it to the West to go back to. And of course it could be a Trojan horse.

Absolute bastards.

  • Russia's defence ministry says it has completed the withdrawal of troops from the western bank of the Dnipro river in Ukraine's southern Kherson region
  • It comes after photos and videos appeared to show that the main bridge from the city of Kherson across the river used by Russian troops to evacuate had been destroyed
  • It's unclear what caused the bridge to collapse, some Russian sources claim that they destroyed it themselves, having completed the withdrawal process

I remember when the Russians entered Kherson to ‘liberate’ it. The old woman handing out sun flower seeds to the Russian soldiers because they would germinate and flower when they died.

This is real liberation.

edit. The woman wasn’t in Kherson but over 80,000 sunflowers will flower next year. Maybe more.

What do you think is the Russians plan now? Looks like crimea will be cut off soon, not sure how they hold it with it being cut off.

I don’t think anyone can predict what they will do next. They have proved to be inept at modern warfare. They have proved to be inept at world diplomacy. They have nuclear weapons though. That’s all they have.
‘All they Have’ is the only thing that stops the west from finishing this war in a few days.

Must admit that I expected Russia to be better than this.

They’re a 60’s army with (alas) a trump card uk their sleeve.

Putin is unpredictable, and his next move will have to be a big one or he’s fucked

He took a war into a country fighting for their existence. He could never win. How he thought he could is not for me to say. Actually, he’s a nutter, an absolute nutter. More importantly is how the Russian people fell for it. It tells you a lot about Russians than it does about Putin. Horrible people.

I think Putin is fucked whatever happens now. He completely underestimated the response of the west with their sanctions and military support of Ukraine. He overestimated his forces ability to perform militarily and he completely misunderstood the response Russia would receive from the Ukrainians.

If it wasn't for nukes he would have had his arse handed to him within a week of invasion. China has already told him nukes are not an option and China is the only powerful friend he has. India and Iran are being cunts though, the west needs to be pressing hard on them in diplomatic circles.

They have a very strange psyche do the Russians. They have a massive chip on their shoulder and think they are above everyone. Yet their country outside of a few major cities is an absolute shithole.

Not seen much of that angry looking slag woman and her mates on what looks like a game show recently.

Met a few on my travels in the East.
Never met one I liked but more relevant, never met anyone in the East who liked them. The Germans easily blamed their past on the Nazis. Russians though are still proud of their Soviet/communist past.
