Its appeasement, that's all it is, and more people will end up dying in the longer term if you essentially capitulate to agressors. These aren't peace deals in the slightest.

  • We’ve reached a point where folk are so entrenched in their support for trump that they’ll side with Putin if it means not losing face on the socials. Thats where we are now. its ok

  • That Vance is a bigger cunt than Trump

Love him or hate him. Is he wrong?

I hope they are on their way round his gaff with the Novi right now.

Putin or Mogg?

The customary answer would be “both”, but I hope they go round Mogg’s twice.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who disagrees with him on this one!

Yep. Ignoring the messenger, If this was America, it would be 20 pages a day on here at least.
Ignorance is bliss.

This could really backfire badly on Putin.

One spark, and I reckon there's a large number of people ready to go out, and I'm not sure the police would necessarily have the numbers if it went off big style.

I reckon he will be eyeing up where to shift his assets.

JRM with a backbone. Fair play to the slimy otter

This is fucking mental. Navalny phoned one of the FSB Officers involved in his own poisoning, pretending to be a Senior Security Officer writing a report about the failure of the Navalny poisoning operation.... Bravest man on the planet.

(If you're interested, and you've got a spare 20 minutes, it's worth watching/listening to the entire thing with the playback speed set to 2. Gives you plenty of time to read the transcript)

Wasn't he going on a hunger strike at one point?

Anyway, mass protests and policing in large numbers might not do the virus control efforts much good.

Russia on the verge of invading Ukraine?

That would be a massive surprise 🙃

Let it go Spider you're never going to meet him (Boris Putin or whatever).

Putin was a pen friend when I was a teenager. We used to exchange pleasantries about day to day life in our very different countries.

At first it was pretty standard stuff, but after a while his letters started getting more suspicious. I was particularly alarmed by one epistle that described in detail how he enjoyed Cossack dancing on the heads of Ukrainian orphans.

Nice bloke if you avoid politics.

You used to send each other pens in the post or practice taking penalties against each other?

I heard him and William '20 Pints' Hague once bummed each other at night - and Hagen was the bummer.

Only alleged Boris Putin - it was Spider told me this. Don't smear nobochock on my nob - do him instead.

My money's on Boxing Day when everyone has their feet up.

Perhaps we should have a sweep?

As soon as Putin listed this list of (unreasonable) demands - I think it went from sabre rattling to odds on likely to happen.

So what is the general consensus on here?

If it happens, should we support the Ukraine with troops? Or stay out of this one altogether? Neither of those options is palatable to me. But one sounds a little less Armageddonerry...... Not sure what it would say about us as a nation though.....

Still - at least we've a steady pair of hands at the helm and nothing else acting as a distraction! 🥺

He won’t stop at Ukraine

Farmyard animals? Including geese and waterfowl.

He's a goner - you think billionaire oligarchs will put up with that pufter's capers (their words not mine, Vladimir)?

They run the show not him.

Don't chockiblock my cock your majesty Putin.

Their words.

Just after working with China to obliterate the wests economy and armed forces with a bio weapon....

I think I've said it before, in my opinion the undoing of the European Community project was the eastwards expansion and incorporating slavic states such as Romania and Bulgaria unbalancing its labour markets and economies. Therefore if Putin rolls his tanks over the borders we should let him have them back (in return for some back-door preferential gas supplies), we should certainly not put any of our armed forces personnel at risk. Can't see Biden committing neither.

I really hope not, I have some good friends in the Ukraine and trips to Kiev, Lviv and Odessa would come to an end
