Are we going up?

The other day Rudy said we were 250-1 to win the league.

I put £10 on at 150-1.

Decent odds for a team on a roll.

  • Actually the new Bolton is go one up, miss 27 chances then defend for last 25 minutes potentially with 10 men and pretty certain with a non goal keeper in nets after Gilks injures himself knee sliding

Talk about a week being a long time in football.  With 10 minutes to go at Mansfield they were 2 pts above us with a game in hand, top of the form table and looking at play offs.  A week later we're 1

  • Still have every faith. Not even arsed we lost today. Had to lose somewhere and now is the right time to do it. I think Maddison needs a couple of starts.

Surprisingly, we are the 9th highest scorers in the league. That's without creating loads of chances/working the keeper/finishing moves off.

Southend host Tranmere iirc at the weekend- there are potentially beneficial results aplenty in the coming weeks.

Aye, eyes on the top 3 from here on in

To be honest, cant see us catching FGR or Cheltenham, who, if they win the game in hand on us, will be 10 and 9 points in front of us, plus add another point for our shite goal difference. Everything else up for grabs though.

Too early to be getting menked up about other results.

Just keep on winning and everyone else can go hang.

Not sure about menked up, but other results are now becoming of interest, which is good.

I reckon we can got those back over 16 games if, for the most part, we play like we did last night

3rd will do

😊

Another stat. Of the 8 teams above us, only 3 of them have beaten us this season.

That, when we were fairly shit, and certainly no where near what we are now.

Just good to be looking at results of teams above us and not the bottom 6.  Bottom 3 all had good wins last 24 hours, would have been very worrying a month or so ago.

When we were 2-0 down a week ago 7th seemed impossible but 9 points in a week we could make the automatic but I would be happy just to get a stab at the play offs

Take the play offs now.....Dont see any team improving until the end of the season. Injuries are starting to affect teams around us. Come May they will be playing players carrying injuries.

We are a team improving week on week. Maddison will improve, outside chance of Politic.....John played less than half a dozen games this season, Same as Arthur, Miller and Afolayan.

No coincidence our subs are coming of the bench and scoring now.

If we go up through the play offs great.....if not what a ride next season will be

Too many games/permutations yet for Twixonomics.

Looking back if the club ain’t of gone down the TP route and signed shite along with IE not sticking with crellin it could’ve been feet up by now

It's either automatic or Champions

I can see a point of view why FV went down that route, leave the coaching to IE and Toby to recruitment. But if You’re not a football man with a thorough knowledge of players in this league it’s a risk.

FV are very good at responding to things not working, IE has recruited superbly. We live and we learn.

Indeed

This season has been a huge learning curve for IE, FV and coaching staff. Whichever league we start next season, I reckon we’ll be better prepared than this season and by a long way.

The tide is slowly turning

This.

Looking at the goal difference of some of those above us, wins are needed to close the points difference, which in turn will close the goal difference deficit.

Just keep winning.

Get some sun on our pitch for Saturday, another mm or two of grass won't do any harm instead of the patchy areas. Even our turf has suffered somewhat this time.

And how different it would have been if the referees had been fair. Extra 2 points against Morecambe and Cambridge and at least a point against Trashmere

Good spot that.  Freakish, wont happen again surely.  And as mentioned earlier Mansfield are 10 places and 10 pts below us so the average of 1 point per place continues down to 19th place.

Just been on my online Coral account and we're 7/1 for promotion and 40/1 to win the League!

As an aside, how come, in Trashmere’s last 6 games, five were at home?

23/1 Bolton (H)

26/1 Harrogate (H)

30/1 Morecambe (A)

6/2 Port Vale (H)

9/2 Stevenage (H) rearranged from earlier postponement

13/2 Grimsby (A) postponed

20/2 Oldham (H).
