Yes, with Farage at the helm we would have a beautiful US trade deal as a real Brexit benefit.

Instead, pulled down by the usual depressing socialist quagmire given a stupid majority by a third of the electorate. Sucking up to expansionist China and the corrupt EU.

Don't you worry though. I'm alreet

As am I, I've never done as well as I am at the minute, and long may it continue......I'm not helping the UK much though, like you, as I'm paying my taxes elsewhere now 😃

I appreciate the current lot don't look like they'll pull up any trees (although didn't Trump say the other day that Starmer was doing a good job.....and Musk suggested that Farage wasn't the right man??!?!)  - but the Conservatives sadly didn't do much when they had the chance last time with Trump, and that was when they were led by your Churchillian hero Johnson. If ever there wasn't a right man for the job, it was, as has been proved, Johnson.

Trumps policies may well leave people with no choice but to suck up to China, as he has zero interest in offering deals to "outside" nations. That's why I've said there are interesting times coming, and there could easily be a full on trade war.

I know you want us to become part of the US, which I know plenty of other people do as well....but I'm not sure how that really stacks with leaving the EU (because we need to be a sovereign state) but I want to join the US

I love the US for visits, going again in a few weeks.

Fucking no way would I want to the UK to be part of USA though. Their mindset is vastly different to Europeans, mainly due to their relatively recent history of immigration 😁

Land of the free.

Murica is like a theme park, fun and exciting to visit but fuck living there.

- HE LIKES AMERICAN THINGS. - LIKE DR PEPPER?

I wonder what Trump will do about DeepSeek - I believe it's just become the most downloaded app in the US......that'll smart to those in Silicon Valley

The usual people will say it's a shambles.

The other usual people will say it's a tremendous piece of business acumen/Keir Starmer's fault.

That's my guess.

That's the part his side tend not to talk about, you just simply can't whack tariffs on imports, and not expect rampant inflation.

Their argument is that American companies will provide the goods/services instead missing the point that the capacity of said companies isn't going to match the needs

And its OK bullying little ol' colombia

Farage is an acehole.

I don't think even you really believe that.

Not that it matters because it will never happen.

You are probably correct. I'll let you decide which of the two I mean 😉

Apart from 'be Donald Trump's bezzie mate' - what do you think the Labour Party could do that Nigel Farage would?

Should that be a 'would' and 'would'?

Sweeping statements are very unwise.

By 'join', if you mean become the 51st state then count me out. I suppose there is an argument that we are already 'joined' to a large extent. Just a continuation of this with much closer ties and a monster trade deal would suit me just fine.

Could even cause enough unrest within those teeterers in the EU for them to speed up the collapse of the house of cards in the hope of securing similar. One can but hope.

'His side' :D

You have just had an example of the results a threat of tariffs can achieve. Stay calm and asses properly.

 Fucking drama queens. 'Bullying'. FFS. Get them all in now then we don't have to be sent to sleep over the next four years. 'Womaniser', 'sexist', 'racist', 'felon', 'white supremacist', 'narcissist' - add as many more as you can now to get it over with. I'll happily stick with 'vengeful' for a while and enjoy the show.

Plantations are safe pal. Supply will be unaffected.

I have never even mentioned Italy. Not in relation to this story anyway 😉

What a very strange individual.

He’s only got four years.

The EU are patient enough to see him off.
