I do like the term "Illegal Criminals."

Can’t help but be entertained.

Though Greenland & the Danes seem a bit worried.

I think (although I don't pretend to be an expert) it stems from this video

You believe. Righto.

So the Don wins again. Gets what he wants. The optics of repatriations for his base.

El Presidente tried it on but discretion became the better part of valour along the lines of "Of course we will accept them but I can't have US military planes landing on our tarmac".

Illegals received (or soon to be). No tariffs. 1-0 to The Don.

With our ditherers (of either hue) it would have been months/years and eventually put into the too hard basket because of listening to whining bleeding heart liberals like Amnesty International.

Trump manages it because he can bully people to get his own way. I'm not sure we'd have the same clout.

But at least our lot know when to use capital letters 😉

And I'd take that any day of the week! 🤣

Aye we lost that capacity when we decided to remove ourselves from the top table and throw ourselves off a cliff.

There's a picture of me in fancy dress as one of the Stotts somewhere! 😁

Knew I had it somewhere. My mate is Vic from the 'Coldland' advert if you remember that obscure reference? 😅

When you're the size and strength of America, you can do what Trump has just done, and fair play to him. No doubt it'll upset plenty, but if I was American then I'd be perfectly happy. Trump has promised to do as much as he can for the American people, if he sticks to his word, then they'll do well. He's not interested in trade deals, unless it's to the benefit of the US. The UK, EU or RoW won't be getting any sort of decent trade deal out of this Trump administration.......we all will scrabble around though for what few crumbs he does chuck out though.

I'd be not be overly surprised to see China go on a charm offensive to the UK and the EU over the coming months, if Trump does start to toughen up  -  we could actually start to see an escalation of the trade war that's already in full swing. That could easily backfire on the US though, and cause their economy to crash massively. An interesting few weeks/month coming up

That's how I see it. The big boy in the playground throwing his weight around. Fall in behind and maybe get thrown a few crumbs or rally against it and risk a black eye. I don't think it's going to win them many really friends mind.

And I don't think the 'special relationship'will mean anything to DT either. We're a transaction to the US now.

Correct, uncoincidentally those who think a trade deal with the US can easily happen (and even more bizarrely reckon that Starmer and Lammy are preventing it, and if Farage was in charge we'd already be there), are generally the same people who told us we'd be getting tremendous trade deals all over the place as a result of Brexit. It's almost like they've not even been listening to what Trump has been saying over the last few months/years.

Get the right man in and the polar opposite will ensue.

It's a non story, it was just the spat over social media that has raised the profile of this.

Colombia's president didn't like the use of military aircraft opposed to commercial and the way they were being treated.

"Colombia has accepted deportation flights from the US in the past. In 2024, 124 planes carrying deported migrants from the US landed in the country."

I'm here

Yes, with Farage at the helm we would have a beautiful US trade deal as a real Brexit benefit.

Instead, pulled down by the usual depressing socialist quagmire given a stupid majority by a third of the electorate. Sucking up to expansionist China and the corrupt EU.

Don't you worry though. I'm alreet

I don't think even you really believe that.

Not that it matters because it will never happen.

Apart from 'be Donald Trump's bezzie mate' - what do you think the Labour Party could do that Nigel Farage would?
