Beats me but I have had plenty of strange looks just opting for the bacon and eggs with some toast.

and a gravy boat full of luke warm maple syrup to liberally pour over the top of course

Well, if nothing else it's good to know we've committed to spending 5% of GDP on defence

What a load of absolute gloop that is.

Spending to include projects that aren't military related, and not until 2035.

Starmer won't be around to see it through, and whichever government comes next will have massive decisions to make to achieve it.

Huge cuts elsewhere, tax rises, virtually impossible growth- apart from the latter, any such actions will be met with derision by the opposition (likely to be Labour).

And the merry-go-round continues.

Doesn’t look like they set Iran’s nuclear capacity back as much as they’ve been boasting about. Depending on who you believe.

If it becomes prominent once more they'll just twat em again.

Who's they?

This isn't a binary discussion, despite what comes out of Trumps mouth at whatever moment of the day, but this is storing up more problems.

It would help a lot more in these kind of situations if Donald, his team and his press secretary didn't sound like North Korean news anchors whenever they made a statement.

It's mega cringe.

I think the European and NATO leaders have decided to just appease trump and hope the next 3 years pass relatively drama free.

Caveat - he’s done ok here.

I don’t think they did twat them is the point

They clearly did.

It wasn't Trump flying the plane.

It was an operation by the most advanced special forces on the planet with intelligence and weaponry like no other.

And if there's still some nuclear tackle there in the future they'll just do it again.

Fuck are you talking about?

The US bombed Irans Nuclear sites.

If they have a pop at developing them again they'll do it again.

Is that binary enough?

The leaked US intelligence report suggests they had limited impact.

Only set them back a few months.

That'll be those special forces heading in every few months then 😄

I’ll believe the reports saying they have done a lot of damage

Yes it is binary.

Why now?

Do you really think this is going to help in the long run? Because I'm damn sure it won't and we're just pushing another issue into an much larger one.

I thought you were brighter then this.

I'm sure they did cause a lot of damage. Define what a lot of damage means in reality though?

Still doesn't mean they've set them back that much, or that Iran can't fix it.

"The assessment, which has not been previously reported, was produced by the Defence Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s intelligence arm"

Seems a pretty reliable source no?

Id say this is as reliable.

I don't expect anything different from the CIA press release to be honest. They're not going to admit otherwise.

The one I posted was done by  US intelligence as well. They would have wanted to prove more damage was done. There won't be a hidden agenda in the evidence they provided, just an honest review.

Time will tell on this one.

You’re just dying for it to be a failure aren’t you 😂

We all just pick who we want to believe nowadays don't we? What a disappointing state of affairs eh?

I very much expect Donald has been on the phone to this fella asking for a statement as a favour.

Although this is always going to be a suspicion when you appoint a partisan to a technical/quasi independent role and they come out in support of you.

I suppose we'll know who is right if Tel Aviv hasn't been reduced to an irradiated, post apocalyptic hellscape by September 😁

Haha

Is that the best you’ve got ? 😉

I’m not trying to argue to be honest, neither do I want Iran to have nuclear weapons. You’ll see a post from me saying credit where it’s due a day or two back.

I’m just pointing out that it’s a credible intelligence report suggesting it hasn’t been set back in the way we’ve been told.

Personally I'd be happy for a few million people to be incinerated and millions more to die from radiation poisoning AND risk world war three, if it meant I could have a few moments of smug satisfaction on a football forum! ✌️😁
