Right let’s nip this in the bud. If@RatchetMan @hughmungus @JimmyRiddle @Whitesince63 come on here and try and make out they are some kind of football revolutionists who can spot negative things that

  • You need to work on the 'intelligent'. So far you have posted opinions that people have disagreed with and then you have sulked.    Out of interest how old are you ? I am mid 50s and not trying

  • If he posts the same thing 20 more times before midnight, id agree with you

We’re on a behemoth of an unbeaten run after a decade of unparalleled shite. When the fuck else are we going to be able to look through rose coloured specs?

No you did not. You start by saying it was your opinion. You then claim it was undeniable facts.

You are contradicting yourself.

My opinion just so happened to be undeniable fact

No it was not.

So you think we are scoring enough goals?

It's all about winning matches. Were winning matches. End of.

Yes. We are on the longest unbeaten run in the country. We have won 10 of last 12 (or is it 11 of last 13?)

Would I like us to score more ? Yes.

So if your opinion is 'we are not scoring enough goals' it is not an undeniable fact.

Yes you are right, it is. I’d take 9 more 1-0 wins if you could guarantee it

Ok smart arse. Enjoy your Easter weekend

We’re 4/6 given our current form I’d say that’s generous.

Smart arse ? It is strange how people who moan about others picking on them revert to childish insults when they shown to be wrong.

Very generous odds, every time I back us it goes wrong so won't jinx us.

You haven’t proved me wrong, but you crack on arguing with yourself I’ve got better things to do

Is this the right room for an argument?

Not arguing just showing that you are constantly wrong. That is ironically an undeniable fact.

Does no fucker remember this isn’t the place for facts. Undeniable or otherwise

gone to the dogs this gaff

Not sure how this is down to my inability to read.  Ratchetman's opening post was

Anybody else worried about the level of performance in recent weeks. Let’s be honest, today we were poor in possession and going forward. I’d like to see us put games to bed

Is that not critical of a team which had just won its 11th of 13 unbeaten games?

Micky, the way IE has the team playing now with everybody responsible for attack and defence with a slow build up until gaps appear is excellent and I don’t see anybody questioning that but I certainly don’t consider it criticism to suggest that with a little more composure and better final ball and crosses, we could have won games more easily. I really don’t see what you find a problem with in Ratchetmans post which I and others concur with completely. We might be satisfied with 1-0 but it always leaves us vulnerable near the end when just one more goal could ease everyone’s stress level. We’re all on the same side here and as others have posted, winning by 4 or 5 still only gets us 3 points, so it’s really immaterial.

That’s exactly what I argued earlier. Only the GD column will be affected by making it 4-0 rather than 1-0. At one time that GD may have made a difference between play-off positions or even inside or outside the play-off positions. Now hopefully, it may make a difference between champions, runners-up and third place because I’m convinced we won’t be needing play-offs for promotion and, after the season up to end of January, I couldn’t give a bugger which of the top three positions we take.

It'd be nice to really impose ourselves early on in the proceedings and then get a convincing win. Form tells me this is possible but in the end we are BWFC and we never make it easy.

But... going for a 4 niller to BWFC

Go for it

Finally Micky, 100% agree but those fewer goals might just cost us the top spot because we are some way behind Cheltenham and Cambridge. Still, if we win every game left by 1-0 we won’t need gd anyway will we?? A 1-0 win tomorrow would do me fine but 3-0 would be even better! 🥳

That’s the top and bottom of it

Who gets in the top 3 won’t be determined by GD. The more 3 points we get is the most important thing. A by product of that is improving the GD. Where that leaves us at the end within that top 3 I couldn’t give a monkeys

Edited by barrycowdrill

There have only been a couple of games in which we have looked vulnerable really. Not a huge cause for concern imo, it's not like we're shipping 2 a game like earlier in the season.

In answer to the original question which sparked all this off, not particularly worried by about the level of performance. It's never going to be 100% perfect every game.
