November 7, 20232 yr Where was the outrage from the usuals when the EDL had a March banned. What happened for their right to March?

And yes In some cases everyone from one side have been stopped from attending because of the actions of others. You're getting well into this comparison now aren't you ? Let's not get too caught up in the technicalities now, time to jump off your protest ban bandwaggon. Facilitate protest, like we facilitate other crowds. Marching isn't a crime and it looks like the police agree (for now).

Thats why theres coaches going from Muslim strongholds all over the gaff. And again I ask, why this weekend? Its like some fuckers arranging a flag shaggers march right in the middle of Eid. Its nothing but antagonistic. Is it fuck.

Its quite bonkers you cant see its a very shit development when politicians take over the running of the police But, to be expected match time x

I honestly don't know, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if he's kept quiet about it

You're having another meltdown because the party you idolise won't step in and ban a march to stop a war on Armistice weekend. The police say they've not got the grounds to ban it on Saturday. Maybe they had the intel for the EDL march, what did they say? In regards to this weekend: "Sources say the legal threshold needed, which requires intelligence pointing to a risk of serious disruption, has not yet been met". (that enough for you TMJ)? Give them time though mate - I think it's only a matter of hours before they get the intel on all these extremists on the coach from Batley. Rumour has it they will be armed with homemade pakoras and non-acholic Molotov cocktails. Edited November 7, 20232 yr by London Wanderer

Mosques are running coaches from all over the gaff to take part in this march for the million. All in the name of Islam. If you think they are all being sincere in their attendance then crack on. I don't think they are and the behaviour of large proportions of them thus far suggests otherwise, from tearing down pictures to spraying graffiti on monuments. There will be plenty out to cause aggro. Nobody wants to answer the question. Why cant they just pick another date or weekend?

Mad how one of the top cops, the prime Minister and the HS have voiced the concerns regarding predicted violence but a primary school teacher in Scotland knows better. Amazing 😂

It's an opinion based on what I've seen the majority doing. Who said they were extremists? "Hate marches" - the rhetoric is there. Mosques are running coaches from all over the gaff to take part in this march for the million. All in the name of Islam. people are there for all sorts of reasons - why you've chosen only this one is a strange conclusion to jump to. If you think they are all being sincere in their attendance then crack on. I don't think they are and the behaviour of large proportions of them thus far suggests otherwise, from tearing down pictures to spraying graffiti on monuments. There will be plenty out to cause aggro. Don't disagree with you that plenty will. I still think it's a minority. Nobody wants to answer the question. Why cant they just pick another date or weekend? As politicians fall over themselves to condemn solidarity marches that coincide with Armistice Day, it is worth remembering that those who served did so to defend the right to peaceful protest (Pro-Palestine rallies aren’t ‘hate marches’ – they’re an expression of solidarity, helplessness and frustration, 6 November). That right is a cornerstone of democracy. We should be alarmed when our elected representatives try to undermine that right. As a veteran of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, I can think of no better time than this weekend to march for peace. Civilians on all sides deserve to have someone who cares enough about their plight to protest for peace. Dave Wilcock Ventnor, Isle of Wight

Amazing 😂 You clearly missed the statement from a half hour ago then 🤣 "Armistice Day protest won’t be banned, says Met chief – as police prepare for months of marches over Gaza Despite political pressure, Metropolitan Police Service commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said the power to ban a protest should only be a ‘last resort’ and the threshold has not been met" Amazing 🤣👏 "Sir Mark Rowley says there is insufficient intelligence pointing to a risk of serious public disorder" Clearly they didn't see Mounts video of them shouting at KFC; or the one of the rats in MacDonalds, or TMJs post earlier and the hoards of Batley lads.. They must be missing something these intel people? I never said there wouldn't be violence, but clearly there is a threshold and it looks like they've discovered that it is the minority after all. Because they're being spurred on by some unpleasant individuals with an agenda, looking for agro. As they are all over. Rowley says he doesn't think there is sufficient evidence yet to ban it- he may be correct and some agree, while others don't. Perhaps he should apply any way- I'm sure the HS will uphold the request. If the leaders of the protests wish to challenge the decision then they can go to court. Time it right, and the case wouldn't be heard before weekend so the issue is alleviated.

It is not appropriate to hold any protests in London this weekend.” https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/nov/05/dowden-concerns-about-pro-palestine-marches-armistice-day Im not sure what you can’t quite grasp.
