Meanwhile in Israel

Is it kicking off big time or is this just everyday stuff they deal with or a bit of both?

I don't know. I wonder how bad it needs to get before some people reach their particular tipping point?

Question for @bolty58 and @royal white I suppose. You both seem happy (probably the wrong word, accepting maybe) of what's going on in Gaza.

How bad would it have to get to make you reconsider your position and and conclude that the IDF/Israel had gone too far?

Whataboutery incoming…

Just hoping Starmer gets Trump on board this weekend and things get moving.

In my world people should swing for this.

It's the Epstein way, many pawns from powerful nations and people have kompromat on many others that may or may not prove useful in the years ahead. We are seeing it in sight more now but I think we just didn't realise it was in play many years previous.

Nice to see British aid to be air-dropped by the Jordanians again.

Maybe Starmer has been reading some posts on here.

Air drops look good but lack the effectiveness... not much room on the ground to aim at and so much is needed... road and eventually the sea are the only options

Not much room?

I'm sure they can find some- just as they did before.

It has its pros and cons, but there can be no accusations nor actual shootings can there.

Use of drones/aircraft video could also capture any evidence of anything untoward.

Would be nice to see Netanyahu & his mob of extremists in court & imprisoned one day. Even better if he dies looking at a prison cell ceiling.

Been a long time since you can find a Western Democratic government committing these kinds of atrocities.

One question....Can you prove the prison cell actually has a ceiling ?

Without stating the absolute obvious to sane people.....I will wait

There is an opinion that Netanyahu is prolonging the conflict in order to remain in office and avoid a corruption trial which will most probably result in a gaol term.

As I said previously he should now swing, Saddam Hussein was convicted for killing less than 150 civilians as a "crime against humanity"... probably won't happen as the US like him.

160 flying sorties to give everyone one meal? You don't want drones buzzing around when flying low level air drops!

Looks good on TV though

Its more than an opinion mate, the hard line government using this to further their aims.

When it's all over he'll probably end up living in a nice little Californian condo next door to Ghislaine

Kent -

The UN won't distribute the aid because they're refusing to work alongside an organisation that is shooting people whilst they're queuing for the very aid that the UN are being asked to distribute.

They have a reputation they need to uphold so that they can continue to be seen as acting with integrity, in both this and future conflicts.

London  -

They're not going to join the latest one because it would make them complicit in ethnic cleansing.

"Help us displace and shoot innocent people, or else you're responsible and are refusing to deliver aid"

Awkward.

COGAT 😂 Thats the defence

From the most biased source possible 🙄

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories is a unit in the Israeli Ministry of Defense tasked with overseeing civilian policy in the West Bank, as well as facilitating logistical coordination between Israel and the Gaza Strip.

Aye because they’re going to admit this mess is their fault.

It’s blatantly obvious who’s to blame for people dying from starvation. And it isn’t the UN & other international organisations. But the IDF will never take responsibility

Another post where someone forgot to check their source.

Things have started moving because Israel have allowed things to

Unicef says it welcomes Israel's announcement that it will implement "most urgently needed humanitarian pauses" to boost aid in Gaza.

"This is an opportunity to begin to reverse this catastrophe and save lives," the UN body says.

Check your source whilst agreeing with the express. 😂

No the UN have always been delivering aid. It’s weird that as you said they would be complicit in ethnic cleansing if they did.

Ahhh - that's sorted it then.

It's all the UN's fault.

Well it’s not as we all well know. The “they won’t work with Israel” is just made up waffle, a many know.

They will work with Israel. They just won't work with the GHF.

They UN also say that the GHF model violates basic humanitarian principles of neutrality and are on the record as saying the the GHF plan amounts to "engineered scarcity" and the "weaponsisation of aid". They've also said on record that it amounts to "an abomination that humiliates and degrades desperate people" and "a death trap costing more lives than it saves" 674 since they began operations in late May.

The UN also don't want to be part of a programme which is widely seen as part of Israeli efforts to corral Palestinians in the southern part of Gaza.

This is all publicly available information and widely reported, so anybody with even a passing interest in what's happening in Gaza would understand. Whether they agree with it or not.
