Germany has had a more guarded approach to arms sales and even its own military for a long time- we can all hazard a guess as to why.

If Israel does enter this next phase in the way they have said, it will he with armour and soldiers rather than air strikes.

I would imagine that that changes the arms requirements, and that the IDF will readily cope without German supplies.

Disappointing that the arrests weren't in the thousands and they didn't go in full bore with truncheons, night sticks etc. Maybe next time?
