I think it's probably worth bearing in mind that one of the members of the panel that produced the report has previously complained about "the Jewish lobby" controlling social media and another has publicly said that accusations of antisemitism "are thrown around like rice at a wedding"

I wouldn't want to dismiss the possibility the actions of the Israeli government and the IDF in Gaza amount to genocide, but the record of the three people who make up the panel don't exactly scream impartiality

Go on then. Explain why it’s naive to say that all the sources I mention produce death figures. If you care to look you will see it’s 💯 the truth.

I was naive last week when I said the majority of illegals over here aren’t entitled to anything. 🤦🏻😂 he’s not a clue what he’s papping on about the majority of the time. Fun to watch though

From what I've read about the conflict in Ukraine - one of the reasons the Ruskies haven't done particularly well is this top down command and control type set up, where as our military tends to be looser and let the people on the ground have more control?

You know much more about this than I do - so there are probably good reasons why you might not be able to do any of those things in practice. But you'd like to hope that they would at least try something a bit less catastrophic. 

Do they give you any guidance on this when you do your training? I mean like what is considered a proportional response that won't end up constituting a war crime in years to come? It's not a bait type question this - I'm genuinely curious. 

I mean just saying 'it's alright as long as it's proportional' seems a bit subjective. 

Don't get me wrong - I'm sure if someone was taking potshots at me I'd be advocating for an air strike - but maybe that's why I ended up in the NHS and not the armed forces. 

Although I did consider signing up as a medic in the territorials when they visited our uni believe it or not. Rambo style! 😁

I totally agree. It's hard to really tell fact from fiction when there's no independent media on the ground. And when all sides are going to put their own spin on things. Although that line looks suspiciously straight to me though. I'd have expected a dip in the trend. And if there wasn't one - I'd have expected the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank to insert one anyway! 😁

Yes the lads on the ground have a lot of responsibility. Thats not saying some young 18 year old will be allowed to go around shooting at anyone and everyone but if you can justify your actions it’s usually ok. Well that’s until you get home and politicians try and throw you under a bus.

Yes I mentioned that on here the other day, it was alway going to be the case and one of the reasons I say this happens in war, whether folk agree with it or not is upto them. But it does

I think you need to go on the ground over there and do a census, plus double up as a registrar ☺
