Seems to be Nixon and Kirchner camp reporting there's just a delay with money laundering checks or something.

But the BBC reporter is expecting the deal to fall through.

I remember Nixon for us was always feeding the Bassini drivel

Nixon been confident all through the kirchner bid, he’ll have some explaining to do if it goes tits.

Primed for Ashley to pick up at bottom dollar.

Time for Howard and the King of Bahrain

According to Nixon, it's still just a delay with the money being cleared by the anti money laundering authorities, and because Kirchner has set up a new account for the 21 million that's the reason it's been flagged and delayed.

Sounds like bollocks to me, or poor organisation.

He's got until 5pm tomorrow apparently, but we all know what these EFL deadlines mean... jack shit

It’s funny how Quantuma always seem to pick the wrong preferred bidder… good for their profit margin though.

I'm still a bit baffled by all that carry-on. I can't remember exactly what gave me this impression but it always seemed to me that he wasn't chatting bullshit and did have some sort of connection to a bid or something in the admin process...

Is it merely a coincidence that he was touting a group of Bahraini's, that didn't come to fruition, but then a few months down the line, a Bahrain based group buy Wigan out of admin?

Fuck him.

He also didn't feel like a wum to me either. But time will tell who gets the better end of the stick.

Bahrain or shaz

It was very odd how the EDT admins David Rubin and partners were so vocal about everything, yet Ken Anderson's chosen admins Quantuma barely made a squeak.

Just done a quick google and Begbies Traynor (who were Wigan's admins) apparently acquired Rubin and Partners about a year ago.

Seems to me that they have more dosh to chuck around than we do, but that's based on very little evidence, other than them spaffing 10k a week on Charlie Wyke and a picture of some guy with a very ostentatious golden table.

Hopefully we do things sustainably and they piss their money up the wall but I do have a slight fear in the back of my mind that Wigan will do well under this new ownership.

Just happy to have Bolton back on stable footing again and looking up but it would obviously irk me if they enjoyed more success than us over the next decade.

This is the official Quantuma statement if anyone's interested

Yes. I read the same. So, after several missed deadlines this was all sorted but the Queen’s Jubilee double bank holiday here and one in America meant the money "which IS in place" is sort of stalled, but don't worry, it's all sorted. Just the money-laundering guys to sort out now.

Like at the financial reaches we mortals can't even imagine, people stop doing their stuff to see if the Queen turns out for a fly-past.

I suppose we'll find out at 5pm. Or, as you say, some other new deadline.

Wonder how long Rooney will stick around? must be getting pissed off with it all

It's 5:40 PM. Anything happened?

Now reported as missing the deadline.

I see another potential buyer, Steve Morgan, Chester based ex owner of Wolves & creator of Redrow Homes has joined in.

He's a very decent principled guy, despite being a Liverpool fan.

The sort you could imagine getting along with our own Sharon.

Waiting for Sluffy and Chris Custard to sign off on the deal. ITK fact.

This Derby situation makes me thank my lucky stars that we have Sharon and Co in charge of us.  Full of money they may not be but as a club I don’t think we have been this United for years

That sounds better.

What was the rough figure that Sharon and co paid for Bolton?

The Derby figure is apparently 21 million quid which sounds like a lot for a League 1 club with no structure

That 21 million doesn't include the ground I don't think. which makes it sound even stranger deal. Paying that and not even owning Pride Park
