Loan Watch 2021/22

Keeping an eye on the young Whites out on loan this season.

Luke Hutchinson played in Atherton Colls 3-0 home win over Basford Utd.

Matt Alexander played in Lancaster City's 7-2 away win at Grantham Town

Dennis Politic was on the bench for the second time this week for Port Vale today but has yet to get any game time.  I guess he isn't match fit yet.

Sogndal play tomorrow.  We'll see if Ronan Darcy is there and makes an appearance.

Was an amazing game but how many of these are still at the club and are going to make it?

Suspect time is already up for Brockbank & Alexander.  Jury still out on Hutchinson, Senior, Edwards, Politic and Darcy.  If we get promoted this season, suspect none of them will be here next season.

Wanderers: Alexander, Weir, Brockbank (C), Politic, Edwards, Darcy, Zouma, Brown, Graham, King-Harmes (Hurford-Lockett 67), White.

Unused substitutes: Hutchinson, Boon, Senior, Brown-Sterling, Richards, Riley.

Aye, switched it on to see a kid who should aparently walk into our first team and it seems he cant get a kick in a league below

I'm an old fucker who has never been as proud as the Coventry day, and would love to see some of em make it, but I reckon evatt is all over it

You may be right, but he's been offered a contract. Evatt must have been over that too.

His current team is doing well, and he can't necessarily expect to play all the time.

No game time for Ronan Darcy this last weekend.  Sogndal complete their fixtures next weekend and can't make the top 4 play offs, so hopefully he will be back at the UniBol next week to bolster our thin playing resources.

I know what evatt says about influencing clubs but is it possible we asked em not to play him

Does he have to wait til window opens?

Adam Senior played in York's 2-1 defeat for their new manager.  He's on a 1 month Youth loan - The EFL regulations state. "Youth Loans may contain a break clause but only where that break clause is exercisable after the expiry of the initial 28 day period of the loan."

So no early return for Senior and Like Darcy no idea if he/when can play for us, but presumably back in time for Stanley game on 11th December.

The agreement with Sogndal ends in December (I don't know the exact date) so he returns before the transfer window opens.

find it weird how they wrote alexander off so easily yet stuck with Crellin for so long.

To be fair on DP, why would they start a loanee instead of their own contracted players when all of them are doing so well? I don’t think it’s a case of Denis not being good enough, just the way things are.

Different manager?
Alexander is still at the club, but out on loan.

Wonder if Alexander can play centre midfield?

Politic starts tonight, in the front two of a 3-5-2, I think the system doesn't quite suit him but he's played majority of his minutes there through the middle.

Already 1-0 down incidentally to a Walsall team that includes former Wanderers; Connor Wilkinson, Jack Earing and Hayden White.

Walsall fans not over fond of Vale boss...

No Adam Senior in the York squad for their FA Trophy game yesterday.  Hopefully not injured.  Pretty clear from Evatt that he's coming back on the 8th December so maybe their new manager doesn't think it worth picking him.

Luke Hutchinson and Reiss Greenidge both in action yesterday, both on the winning side.

Cup tied as he'd played for Ashton in previous round.

Politic equalises for Port Vale in the FA Cup after coming win as a sub with a shot from outside the box into the top left hand corner.

Scored the winner by the looks of it too

Non league

Reiss Greendige (Barnet), Adam Senior (York) & Liam Edwards (Southport) all played for 90 minutes in their respective winning teams.

Colls game was off again so no game for Luke Hutchinson.  Jay Fitzmartin is close to a return for Stalybridge after a month out injured.

His goals per minute for Port Vale must be great.  So frustrating that he's on their bench and not our's.

How many minutes is he playing ? Everyone is clambering for him on Twitter but he doesn’t seem to be a main stay of port vales side.

We're the one's with a threadbare squad though, we probably need him more than they do.  The fact that he doesn't start for them must increase our chances of him coming back in Jan, he'd just be swapping a league 2 bench for a league one bench, arguably.

he's decent and vale fans seem to think as much when he plays

maybe he's indicated he wants to come back in January so is being used sparingly in a team pushing for promotion

maybe not

in any case

we should be looking at bringing him back IMO, even if he just ends up on the bench and leaves on a free at the end of the season anyway

In his post match interview, Vale manager Clarke said that Dennis is still only 70% fit and that was why he isn’t starting.  Sounds fair enough given his injury and how long he was out.

I appreciate I know nowt but he recovered & went into full training in the summer. Available for games & training for now 5 months. That's a long time, even after a serious injury & season out, to still only be 70% fit.

I guess the question is, does that suggest he's never going to be properly reet ?
