Loan Watch 2021/22

Keeping an eye on the young Whites out on loan this season.

Luke Hutchinson played in Atherton Colls 3-0 home win over Basford Utd.

Matt Alexander played in Lancaster City's 7-2 away win at Grantham Town

Dennis Politic was on the bench for the second time this week for Port Vale today but has yet to get any game time.  I guess he isn't match fit yet.

Sogndal play tomorrow.  We'll see if Ronan Darcy is there and makes an appearance.

He did.

I'm in agreement with Aldo though; I suspect Evatt wasn't happy with the contract refusal.

I think he was offered a one year extension of his existing contract, not an entirely new contract

Given that he was on a contract signed when he was 19 maybe Politic thought he could do better

Indeed, and he might be proved right.

It seems clear to me though that, rightly or wrongly, it narked Evatt.

Doesn't really matter for me.

He couldn't really grumble given the length of his injury lay off and time for recuperation.

He could have signed up but asked for a review given a number of appearances or some such.

Don't know the ins and outs,  and while I don't think I would have done the same thing if I was in Evatt's shoes, I can understand it, if he has turned his attention elsewhere.

Politic back on the bench for Port Vale today.  Came on with 22 mins to go and Vale 1-2 down.  They immediately conceded another and 1-3 was the final score.  His BWFC career looks over.

Edwards Southport conceded 3 at home to Solihull Moors in the FA Trophy.

Barnet and Reiss Greenidge let in 4 at home to Chesterfield.

Hopefully a few youngsters will go out on loan this month.

Politic's agent needs to look long and hard at himself.

Correct. He's not getting enough game time at PV to get himself a good deal anywhere.

Sacking the contract offer the start. Unless it was the lad's decision.

Said it a couple of months back, everything points to stockport

Or, put it another way, id not be surprised

Put him through his rehab

Offered him a contract

He said no

Fuck him we move on. He wouldn’t get in the team now anyways

It wouldn't surprise me if he attracts a contract offer from a League Two club, which would likely be a better contract than the one we offered.

If i was Politic i would be asking Vale for a contract.....Which in turn give us a small fee.

If Vale dont make a move before the end of the month i would simply not play. If he suffered a injury between now and May  nobody would touch him in the summer.....lads taking a big risk

He needs to play to earn a contract elsewhere. I can't see any club taking a risk on a player in his situation who holds his loan club to an ultimatum and then refuses to play when they don't do as he wishes.

But if he'd accepted ours, proved his fitness here or elsewhere, then he may have been in line for an improvement beyond what he's likely to be offered now.

Arse about face way he's gone about things for me.

If all of those things happened then maybe, yes. But I suspect Politic (probably correctly) was of the opinion Evatt didn't especially rate him.

In that context, a two-year contract from a four-tier club, or a club in the fifth tier with a relatively good budget, would likely be immediately better for him. A greater opportunity to play football and likely financially more beneficial.

From there, it's up to him to prove his worth.

Correct.

That would mean 12m out with injury then gets stroppy with the club who paid him for doing nowt, helped him revover & made an offer.

Followed by OK performances, largely from the bench, on loan followed by going on strike because they held out for a contract.

That'd be a great demonstration of his professionalism. Good idea.

Do we get any sort of fee for his development?

He backed himself to earn a better contract elsewhere and appears to have been proven right.

It seems like his agent might actually know a thing or two after all.

Hope that means everyone can finally shut the fuck up about him.

Good one 😉

I'm sure it won't be the end of it if he's playing Serie A next season, Cremonese currently 4th in Serie B

Said similar in the Transfer thread.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they get themselves up this year to see him playing for one of the big boys before he's 24.

50k apparently, plus a % of any future transfer fee.

Yep. Can't argue with that one.

It's easy to forget he's actually Romanian so this is possibly better geography for him too.
