Food / Delivery shortages

Covid?

Brexit?

Both?

I notice it’s taken McDonald’s to run out of milkshakes for it to actually cause people to lose their shit.

I read that 14,000 EU lorry drivers left jobs in the UK since brexit, and only 600 have returned.

Covid caused loss of tests to be cancelled.

And folk still buy from these people it’s mental.

I will be selling 5L bottles of water for a Tenner and 4 bog rolls for 11.99 out the back of my car for all the traveling fans today at Sunderland. Conscious you’ve no longer got basic provisions in the north west seemingly so trying to do my best to assist.

if anyone wants me to pick up Calor gas cannisters please let me know 👍🏼

Google a supply and demand curve.

It's simple economics boys and girls.

So the major retailers don’t understand economics yes? Or are being charitable? Which?

Just been to do my weekly shop. Shelves full. Managed to get a full tank of petrol on way out as well and thankfully my boiler fired up for a shower earlier so clearly I’ve not run out of gas up here either. Remarkable considering what’s happening back down south by the sounds of folk on here.

Stay strong chaps 🙏🏼

Petrol won't be anything to do with him surely? They just run the shop innit.

To high on heroin to give a shit!

Bbc reporter just now at a BP station in Stockport. No fuel. At least he admitted the shell one down the road had plenty.

Anyway, his name: Phil McCann.

Not sure, are they a franchise so have to buy from x,z or z but can essentially charge what they want?

Why are service stations on motorways more expensive than supermarkets?

If you need something bad enough you have to pay for it.

Supply and demand boys and girls.

Thing is, supply is there and demand is stupid. Give it a week or so, when folk have calmed down a bit.

No. Demand is by the stupid. There is a huge difference.

No Diesel on the fylde coast. Was meant to be working in Blackburn today. Fucking me right up :(

Quite.

Perhaps the North West together with some other areas has a higher proportion of twatter fuckwits: the end is nigh.

Interesting this temporary visa relaxing: pros and cons, but if the stupid weren't stupid, then there'd be no need.

Reckon we'll see a few soldiers in the cabs too.

Yeah, we're at the caravan and we're going to have use what we've currently got to go out and find somewhere to fill up to get home.

All part of the great reset and you don’t sound up for like when spitfires and things were around.

Your previous analogy wasn't pertinent to the point being made.

The lads were talking about a particular shop (not motorway) hiking prices, whereas other shops (non motorway) haven’t.

The comparison between  motorway and non motorway is a different issue.
