Food / Delivery shortages

Covid?

Brexit?

Both?

I notice it’s taken McDonald’s to run out of milkshakes for it to actually cause people to lose their shit.

I read that 14,000 EU lorry drivers left jobs in the UK since brexit, and only 600 have returned.

Covid caused loss of tests to be cancelled.

€2 a pint if you know where to go though.

Things will get worse. I am a small player who (believe it or not) relies on a positive "lets get things done" personal relationship with my clients.

If little ol' me can't fill my order book because of availability of something like tin sheet what is going to happen on the macro-scale?

The construction industry has been booming lately but I feel it will grind to a halt next year owing to the current supply issues.

We're all doomed

Bloke who’s done fuck all to deal with a crisis suddenly realises his pants are full of shit and demands something - anything - gets done.

He’ll probably award himself a knighthood for saying “I’ve done fucking nothing”

Our local coop has had no fresh meat for over a week now. It was odd as they had low amounts one morning when I went in then when I popped back in at dinner as I had forgotten something all the shelves were empty, like they had swiped them to stock a bigger store maybe?

Coop getting battered...

If a Haulage firm has 10 drivers available tesco Asda and the big supermarkets are getting priority over the likes of coop... ALLEGEDLY!

There was no miso paste in Sainsbury’s earlier and they’re lucky I was in a mellow mood, because normally I would have torn the fucking place to pieces for that.

Although, in all fairness, certain people who post on here would be happy to see your company go under, as they would suggest it's just "tough shit" and part of a  rebalance.

You could always just get an apprenticeship at the TVR factory......

Winners and losers, winners and losers

It's all going tremendously well isn't it!

Just been to do my weekly shop. Shelves full. Managed to get a full tank of petrol on way out as well and thankfully my boiler fired up for a shower earlier so clearly I’ve not run out of gas up here either. Remarkable considering what’s happening back down south by the sounds of folk on here.

Stay strong chaps 🙏🏼
