Food / Delivery shortages

Covid?

Brexit?

Both?

I notice it’s taken McDonald’s to run out of milkshakes for it to actually cause people to lose their shit.

I read that 14,000 EU lorry drivers left jobs in the UK since brexit, and only 600 have returned.

Covid caused loss of tests to be cancelled.

Wasn't there a caveat that commercial vehicles took priority over private vehicles?

Taxis are commercial vehicles.

The majority of Bolton's taxi drivers are of South Asian extraction.

Typical case of white devils twisting things and playing the 'victim' and/or race card.

Anyhow, I know for a fact it's changed ownership several times in the intervening years.

I know 'they' all look alike, so easy to presume it's the same owners who, almost twenty years ago, followed Government guidelines on priority customers during that particular fuel crisis.

One on deane/Wigan Road did that too.

Now a little tesco job. No queues there this morning.

Passed half a dozen today. No problem anywhere. A 1 day drama caused by the drama queens of social media and the other media formally known as MSM.

Listening to a lorry driver today on the radio in the car. He said the younger generation don’t want to drive lorrys for a living. The long, unsocial hours are a deterrent. They all want to go to university and study arty farty stuff  (his words) It’s a problem that the whole of Europe has to address.

These new universities should introduce a lorry driving degree. Same job, but OK once you have a piece of paper.

Education, education, education.

We used to have careers advice from people who would determine your potential and guide you in the direction that suited both you and the needs of the economy. That last bit might confuse some but it worked.

Absolutely.

Huge imbalance now.

Fortunately, some changes have been made, just going to take a while to work through.

All credit to tradesmen who are raking it in now.

There are people ‘working from home’ (spending all day on social media) making judgments on things they have no idea about. They live in a world of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and such. I can’t see it getting better any time soon. It really is depressing.

Very non judgmental 😁

Well no petrol round here. That's nice.

Probably my fault for studying music when I should have been getting my HGV licence.

Yeah, we're at the caravan and we're going to have use what we've currently got to go out and find somewhere to fill up to get home.

Much ado about nothing.

Mrs T nipped to Sainsburys for some "essentials" and got 45L of diesel whilst she was there.

Studying is a very middle class term for what we working class folk call further education.

I studied engineering. A very practical and economically essential part of our society. Music comes from the soul. Stevie Wonder didn’t need to study.

So no musician never had to study because its just about emotion. Despite that being totally misguided it's also wrong. First lecture we were told to disavow any sense of that notion.

Anyway, for someone with so little self awareness its not that surprising a statement.

I know, decent observation, not insult. Did they teach you the difference on your working class engineering course? 😁😘

Yes, careers advice...

Apparently I was suitable to be either; a bramble picker, or a babysitter.

Twenty odd years on I've more bits of paper than a Moon Landing tickertape parade.

And out-qualify that dismissive judgemental idiot many times over...

He's probably dead now anyway, he was a fat bastard.

The only people allowed to be embittered by kids going to University are folk who didn't get the chance to for whatever reason.

Anyone with a degree should put a sock in it.

Education, education, education.

Instead of a final dissertation you have to abuct, rape, murder and dispose of the body of a heroin addicted girl forced into prostitution.

For you HGV Msc. You must veer onto the hard shoulder and obliterate two cars/drivers whom pulled over after accidentally clipping each other.

You'll blame new medication, but in reality you were scrolling through Netflix on your dash-mounted iPad, trying to find 'Narcos' whilst simultaneously pissing in an empty 'Lenor' Fabric Conditioner bottle.

HGV D.Phil, accept four grand to smuggle twenty six immigrants into the UK, then leave them to suffocate to death in the airtight refridgerated trailer when it comes 'on top'.

You'll drive your cab away of course after unhooking it somewhere far away from the gaze of CCTV, you know these spots from disposing of prostitutes.
