Kachunga - victim of racist abuse

Kachunga was sent racist messages after the Burton game, hope it wasn't one of our own fans. Named, shamed and lifetime ban if it was, yet people on here still support booing when players take the knee. 🥺

  • @Cheese i have to say this to you, this is a very hot topic which some people won’t put their neck on the line , you will have people who for whatever reason will disagree with the knee, or not unders

  • Congratulations on winning the virtue-signalling award for today. I'm sure you feel such pride in your heart now having stood on the mountain top and bellowed out to the world about your purety.

  • Haha incredible how this is not a straight forward condemning of racial abuse. Sad stuff. Hope it isn’t a wanderers fan

Yes. TBF although I was not specific I was meaning in the UK and specifically footballers.

Blackballed..........😂🤣😂

I suppose the issue is those with more hardline views piling on to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Meaning the anti-racism message was lumped in with the extreme knobbers.

The Black Lives Matter movement and message is much bigger than those trying to make a political career from it and trying to tie american issues to british issues, the 'defund the police' message being a key one.

Really not interested in a reply but for those who don’t support the knee taking, who feel it’s ok to boo, feel it’s ok to ignore the gesture think of this.

Imagine signing for a club, fans are excited to see you play, you upsticks with your family, you’re excited to play, you train hard, you work your way into the team, because of the current situation there’s the issue of taking the knee, now imagine all your teammates, staff and gaffer support this.

You put on the shirt, walk out and the crowd roars.

As a show of solidarity to players who have or could suffer racism, you take the knee, and you hear one of your own fans boo. Doesn’t matter the reason but try and imagine that feeling what that would feel like, the mental effect that would have on you, the thoughts that would go through your head

Imagine going online and forget the abuse but people online typing I’m sick of all this anti racism being rammed down my throat, yawn, just get on with football etc

Could you imagine how that would make a new player to our wonderful football club would feel, all because their skin is a different colour.

Ive had racist abuse when I’ve played at a low level, I’ve had it when I’ve been a wanderers fan from opposition, I’ve had it from fans when I’ve worked for football clubs.

All those times stick with you, imprinted in your mind for a long long time, I can still see the Stoke fan now, and the Chelsea fan now.

BWFC is a community  club, I feel proud to be a lifelong supporter , I have met some incredible people off here and at games who I consider mates and not one of them would even consider my skin colour as any kind of issue, but some posts on here lately have left this incredibly sour taste in my mouth, it sticks with you, whether they’re racist, ignorant or just stubborn and stuck in their views it’s made me feel anxious about going to the game tomorrow which is utterly utterly insane.

Now if you feel as though it’s being rammed down your throat, or just want players to get on with the game because you’re bored of it

Imagine how you would feel if you were me.

I keep getting sucked into these threads even when I say I won’t because it’s an issue that effects me but this is the last I’ll say on it (I hope 😁)

There’s a lot of players and clubs who have stopped taking the knee. Are they racist now?

Can you give an example of someone in this thread "trying to impose their mindset on everybody else"?

As I have said repeatedly, if you have an issue with our players 'taking the knee', after they've explained clearly, in no uncertain terms (along with our manager and owners), that it is a purely anti-racism gesture, then you are either calling them liars, or you stand with racists. Are you calling them liars?

No reason to doubt the sincerity of our players and Sharon even if I can't abide the way the woke have seized hold of the gesture being made with their intolerance to those who don't see the value in such gestures. In the round, every action taken by Sharon and IE since their arrival has shown them in a very positive light. That's why our entire support base is so energised just now.

The problem you've got here is that you are following the well known woke path .... if you run out of arguments just accuse the person who opposes your view of racism/sexism/transphobia .... whatever comes to hand. That way you can attempt to deligitimise them and put them to the periphery of a debate because actually engaging with them might mean you have to reflect on your own fundamentalist stance.

Its nasty, cheap bullying. It wont' work on me and it won't work on the millions of others who've worked this little three-card trick out. You might want to close down people's right to views other than yours but you won't.

On that basis I would urge you once again to stop calling me a racist without a single shred of evidence to back it up.

There's a big difference between not doing it and booing it.

Cracking read this today

Today I’ve discovered that if you don’t agree with the knee or suggest coming offline if you’re a victim of abuse then you’re a racist.

I’ve read Rudy’s points as either or.

Where did I say anyone who doesnt support it is racist?

I was saying the actions (any action) people can have towards a player can have a lasting effect on them

How can you boo, ignore, tell them to get on with be followed up with a greater explanation. Are you booing and saying I’m booing I don’t agree with it because it’s associated to the BLM, no it’s just booing a anti racist gesture.

It’s not either or , my point is the interpretation on such a delicate issue can be massive and maybe people should be more considerate at how their actions are deemed and support your own players the way you’d support your own friends and fans

You're obsessed with this "wokery" nonsense. You've clearly been brainwashed into thinking that anyone who opposes racism is doing so for some nefarious, self-serving reason. I'm sorry to break it to you, but you're wrong.

And by screaming "WOKERY VIRTUE-SIGNALLING!" everytime someone speaks out against racism, you're doing exactly what you accuse the "woke" of doing. Utter fucking nonsense.

So what is your problem with our players taking the knee?

What exactly are you opposing here? I'm confused about what has got you so worked up about a simple anti racism message.

If as you say you are anti racist yourself why do you have an issue with players demonstrating their anti racism stance? In defiance of the racism they face and in support of their team mates who face racism

You could do with reading what I write instead of screeching so much.

Trying to talk to you is like watching dogs running around in circles.

Bingo!

I was just waiting on "screeching" for the full house in Gammon Bingo.

don't get me wrong, I don't think it was a racist comment

though do you honestly think that's the way to deal with it?

that IE or SB should sit down with him and say "Elias, ok, it wasnt' nice what was said, but we feel the best way to deal with this moving forward is that you either ignore it or just get on with it, or maybe you should just come off social media all together.  No point in moaning about it mate, or taking the knee, this is how it is, nothing will change.  Sorry"

if you met him and got chatting to him and it came up, would you suggest that? or to anyone you know who got abused in that way?

If anyone is "screeching" here, it's you.

Can you explain why you're against our players taking the knee, after they've explained it's a purely anti-racism gesture? If you witnessed someone being abused on the train, would you advise them to get off and let the abuser continue their journey?

Been like that for time

Only in your tiny minds.

I bet Friday Afternoon sessions with a certain poster who's swallowed a Thesaurus, yet still can't spell, are a fucking hoot...

A pub or ten then...

Probably end up in some nightclub we're too old for, then onto a casino or house of ill-repute for more drink/drugs/shagging/gambling, then it's breakfast club time leading to afternoon drinkipoos, the match - watched cyclops style after 86 minutes supping under the stands - then repeat the exact same itineray (apart from the match) next day.

Until dropped off home early hours of Monday by the coppers, who are your new bezzie mates cum taxi drivers.

Then tell your missus to fuck off if she complains, before a well-earned rest.
