Kachunga - victim of racist abuse

Kachunga was sent racist messages after the Burton game, hope it wasn't one of our own fans. Named, shamed and lifetime ban if it was, yet people on here still support booing when players take the knee. 🥺

  • @Cheese i have to say this to you, this is a very hot topic which some people won’t put their neck on the line , you will have people who for whatever reason will disagree with the knee, or not unders

  • Congratulations on winning the virtue-signalling award for today. I'm sure you feel such pride in your heart now having stood on the mountain top and bellowed out to the world about your purety.

  • Haha incredible how this is not a straight forward condemning of racial abuse. Sad stuff. Hope it isn’t a wanderers fan

Still get Undies and Victor Meldrew mixed up. As I said to…… in Northern Monkey before the last match.

Anyway L, I’m half way there.😊

Everyone getting their knickers in a twist as per,

Yeah they should raise a straight right arm with a flat hand.

Sounds good.

We're talking about the start of the macarena right?

😂😂 if they said it was to combat racism it’s fair enough

Never agreed with people hiding behind a username, seems a bit off to me.

Speaking of the taking of the knee on Monday, I noticed Burton’s number 10, a black player, remained standing. Nothing strange about that other than the fact they didn’t show it on Sky Sports. It made me realise, I’ve seen one or two players opt to remain standing in live games but don’t recall seeing any on the tellybox.
Strange that.

The fact people are still wearing Ralph Lauren has blown my mind. At least make an effort for court, scruffy cunt.

One of the finest makes ever.

Very sad that one of our players is racially abused online and people are trying to justify booing our players taking the knee.

Most folk who disagree with the knee don’t boo, hope you defend the right of those people to have that opinion.

Only people who play Polo should be wearing it. Even then, in the 90s, not this millennium.

That makes zero sense. If people didn’t boo there would not be any debate on the matter.

I honestly hope it isn't a Bolton Fan.

Appears to be someone who WANTS to play for us, and it's clear IE see's something in him, from what I can tell most of his goals come from crosses into the box and that appears to be our current way.

Few forums I'm on won't let you post under an Alias, one even makes you have your real name and phone number on there.. Needless to say there is a distinct lack of banter etc.

You boo every seagull you see.

Many posters, even though they post under pseudonyms, are known to others. Even @bolty58in Perth, WA is known.

There can’t be too many lone wolfs who don’t know a single other person or a single other doesn’t know them.

We can’t go back to gorilla chants and chucking bananas on the pitch, it was vile and completely unacceptable. I have no particular opinions on taking the knee. But ultimately it may focus the minds of spectators that the blokes playing for either team are actually human beings irrespective of anything else.

Yep. Here we go again

Will I still be ok with my powder blue polo shirt !

Without getting into the Knee Taking stuff, hopefully it goes without saying, but still should be said, that this is despicable and I do hope whoever did it is not a Bolton fan.

May I ask, appreciating this shouldn't happen to absolutely anyone, ever, why Kachunga ? He's new here, still coming to fitness & yet to make his mark. He came on for 20 minutes on Monday night. We have other Black players ... who apparently have not received this abuse. In my view that makes this targetted at him, for specific & personal reasons irrespective of all other matters.

Is there previous, at other clubs ? Is some vile fool trolling him racially for some deluded reason going some way back ?

Not that it, in any way, condones or excuses it. Just wondering if there's some history to help trace the unpleasant idiot who did it.

When the racist abuse stops (online or offline), it will stop getting brought up, and there'll be no need to take the knee - or any other action deemed appropriate to draw attention to the problem.

It might not seem a particularly pressing issue to most of us on here because we've never been subjected to it - and we don't have to worry about our children being subjected to it - but it's an uncomfortable reality that some of our fellow citizens/fans/friends have to face on a daily basis. A considerable minority in our society are ignorant racist fuckwits, and that minority has been getting more considerable and more vocal recently - whether you blame it on social media or politics or whatever. It simply needs stamping out. If you think 'oh, here we go again' over a discussion on an internet forum that you voluntarily visit and can leave whenever you want, imagine thinking 'here we go again' every time you wake up in the morning.
