It may be pure coincidence but England didn’t score and Wales had 2 or 3 decent chances after Sheehan came on.

Tuchel knows his stuff, putting 2 men on Sheehan for the goalie short pass up the middle - so he definitely works as a decoy.

That said, 3 up in no time, and with nothing riding on it, the location might not have made a huge difference.

Its not just the friendlies though 

I was at the Greece and Albania fairly recent games and if it hadn't been for the away fans it could well have been a match at the Emirates 

Wembley just doesn't seem to do atmosphere

Wembley just isn't set up for an atmosphere for England games. There's no area where those who want a singsong congregate, instead they're mixed amongst dull folk like me who want to sit and enjoy the match.

Neither did some of the players which is even more annoying. They’re representing their country not their club and should at least make an attempt.

He looks so much sharper than during the last tournament, when Southagate played him despite an injury.

The performance on the whole as been excellent. 

Not easy to undo a packed defence as we have seen many times, but they have been quick with their movement, and Latvia are dizzy.

Hopefully Kane can get his hat trick early in the second half, then play with freedom and maybe get more, before he is subbed.

TT was right in what he said, but perhaps missed the impact of the circumstances. 

Anyway, more importantly, how refreshing it is to see the manager playing Rice in the position he does for Arsenal, and where he does his best work.

Seem to be more on the front foot, quicker and more aggressive. 

Wonder if he'd fancy playing for BW in the same role?
