he isn’t a top level manager. Simple. He won’t walk in to a top 6 job when he leaves here. Was given the job cos it was safe after the big Sam debacle. Exceeded everyone’s expectations but he’s got the most promising attacking squad we’ve ever had yet struggle to create anything really

Nail on head there, exceeded everyone’s expectations, including his own. This is more what we expected from him and it’ll show in the WC.

Worrying thing is aside from Guehi Bowen and Gallagher the rest will be looking / expecting to start in the first game..

Shaw/Chilwell on the left, Foden, Grealish etc could all he pushing. Rice didn't start neither. If Rashford has a new lease of life under Haag, then he'll be back in the reckoning too.

Important that fans, press etc don't turn on them now though- stick with it as it's too late to change.

That’s the only positive, our expectations are through the floor, getting out of the group stage is the target. Then it’s knockout where anything can happen, probably lose if we play anyone half decent but you live in hope.
